President Donald Trump was widely mocked after footage from a meeting at the White House on Friday about energy policy showed how he suddenly got up to admire the renovations on his new ballroom through a window.

Several months ago, Trump ordered the demolition of the entire East Wing to make way for a 90,000 square-foot ballroom that will dwarf the size of the White House itself, sparking alarm from historical preservationists and the public alike.

Construction started during the recent government shutdown—at the same time that the Trump administration announced that families would not receive SNAP benefits as scheduled. The administration also refused to release contingency funds that would ensure families that rely on these payments don't go hungry.

Trump got up during a meeting with oil industry executives, including leaders from Chevron and Exxon, as part of an effort to secure billions of dollars in new investment in Venezuela’s oil sector.

He exclaimed:

"Wow! Look at that view. This is the door to the ballroom."

You can watch what happened in the video below.

Shortly afterward, an X user posted a modified version of the clip that replaced the windows with a green screen, racking up more than 27,000 likes and 1,000 reposts within 24 hours and inviting users to remix the scene with their own edits.

Oone user responded by sharing a version where the Bowser fart GIF has been placed outside the window.

There's a version where Trump is distracted by peek-a-boo.

There's a version where Trump can't help but be distracted by a steamy scene from Heated Rivalry.

There's one where he looks out at hell.

There's a version where he's looking at old footage of him with the late financier, pedophile, and sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein—we're guessing he's enjoying a trip down memory lane.

There's one where he's enjoying a soccer match.

There's one where he's watching the Doge meme just fly by behind the wheel of a car.

There's... whatever this is.

And while the results are funny, other people are just more annoyed by the fact that this man is somehow still president.

We laugh so we don't cry.

Trump Unveils Photo Of 'Newly Revamped' West Wing Entrance Makeover—And Critics Have Some Thoughts

President Donald Trump was criticized after sharing a picture of the latest update to the entrance of the White House West Wing that made the historic landmark look more like a signature Trump hotel.

The Oval Office has been significantly revamped since Trump took office in January 2025—it features, among other things, a fireplace adorned with gold cherubs and medallions, surrounded by portraits of American statesmen in ornate gold frames and shelves filled with gilded figurines, urns, and freshly installed Rococo mirrors.

Rihanna Applauded For Powerful Response To Cancer Patient Who Apologized For Looking 'Terrible' Without Wig

Rihanna’s latest viral moment has nothing to do with music, fashion, or beauty launches. Instead, fans say the singer helped someone shine bright “like a diamond” after reassuring a cancer patient who apologized for not wearing a wig during an unexpected meeting.

The nine-time Grammy winner, 38, made a fan’s day during a recent trip to a supermarket, where she posed for a photo and offered words of encouragement after learning the woman was living with cancer and feeling self-conscious about her appearance. The interaction appeared in Jason Lee’s video series, Jason Lee Unlocked: Grocery Shopping with Rihanna, released on Monday, July 6.

Reporter Puts NATO Secretary General On The Spot With Brutal 'Self-Respect' Question About Trump

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte found himself on the spot after Danish reporter Rasmus Svaneborg questioned whether sitting silently beside President Donald Trump as he discusses "conquering" Greenland and criticizing allies has impacted his "self-respect."

Rutte, a former Dutch prime minister, has been forced to manage Trump's repeated criticism of NATO while contending with his public insistence that the United States should acquire Greenland from Denmark.
