For many people, ABC's The View Meghan McCain has been the number one daytime personality they love to hate for the entirety of her tenure.

Which may explain why the announcement of her departure from the show has garnered a hearty "LOL how soon can you leave" from the majority of the internet.

Bless her heart, poor Meghan has been roasted harder for her departure announcement than any of the controversial or downright obnoxious things she said while hosting the show over the years, and that's saying something.

Suffice to say, there are a LOT of people who are not going to miss her.

McCain announced her departure on the air today.

"I'm just going to rip the bandaid off. I am here to tell all of you, my wonderful cohorts and viewers at home: This is going to be my last season here at 'The View.'"

McCain cited the birth of her daughter last year as her reason for leaving, saying that she wishes to remain near family in Washington D.C. rather than continue commuting to New York City to film the show.

However, McCain has been rumored to be unhappy at the show for quite some time.

The daughter of late Republican Senator John McCain, Meghan McCain joined The View in 2017 after several stints as a guest co-host over the years. A lifelong Republican, McCain frequently clashed on-air with her co-hosts, especially moderator Whoopi Goldberg and fellow commentator Joy Behar.

Rumors have circulated for most of her tenure that those on-air clashes frequently carried over off the air as well.

The bitterly partisan tenor of those clashes and McCain's habit of constantly invoking her father's name during her commentary did her no favors with the show's more liberal fanbase--particularly on Twitter, where dragging her has become something of a weekly tradition.

And today, that tradition was kicked into overdrive as everyone rushed to get their last roasts in.

If dunking on Meghan McCain is one of your life's greatest joys, don't fret just yet: she will remain on "The View" through the end of the month.

People Who Smashed Wedding Cake In Their Spouse's Face Reveal How Their Relationship Is Going Now

According to The Knot wedding resource magazine and website, smashing cake into the face of a spouse after tying the knot is a tradition tied to medieval England. To celebrate the marriage, the bride would toss a piece of piece of cake over her shoulder for good luck.

This evolved into newlyweds feeding a piece of cake to one another, then taking frosting or a small bit of cake and rubbing it gently onto each other's faces—usually the cheek or tip of the nose.

Former President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama warmed hearts when they shared the same photo to their respective social media accounts, showing them with their adult daughters, Sasha and Malia, to commemorate Sasha's 24th birthday.

Sasha Obama was born in June 2001, nearly eight years before the family moved into the White House at the start of her father's first term in January 2009. She and her older sister, Malia, now 26, spent their formative years in the presidential residence, growing up there throughout their father’s two terms, until the family departed in 2017.

The term malaphor means when two or more colloquial phrases or idioms get confused and combined to create something nonsensical. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), malaphors are a common symptom of frontotemporal dementia or other cognitive impairments.

So when a person seeks to accuse someone of being unintelligent, their use of malaphors is ironic and possibly very telling—narcissists will always accuse others of their own faults and failures.
