29-year-old Adam Johnson died after suffering a serious cut to his neck from a skate during a game with the Nottingham Panthers.

Former NHL hockey player Adam Johnson, 29, died suddenly after a traumatic accident at a game in England, where he was playing a match as a current member of the Nottingham Panthers. He suffered a cut to the neck during the game, and no further details of his death have been released.

From Minnesota, Johnson's hockey career included college hockey for the University of Minnesota and a stint as a forward for the Pittsburgh Penguins from 2018-2020. The Nottingham Panthers, the NHL, and Johnson's former NHL team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, all made posts about his death.

His current team posted about the event and sent their condolences to his family.

"Everyone at the club including players, staff, management and ownership are heartbroken at the news of Adam’s passing. Our thoughts are also with the fans and staff of both clubs, especially those who attended or were following the game, who will be devastated following today’s news."

His former NHL team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, also shared a post about Johnson.

Ontario Reign made a touching tribute to Johnson before their game.

The NHL added to memorial posts.

Other hockey organizations and teams also sent their condolences.

A paramedic who helped Johnson after the accident told his story.

There's some controversy over calling Johnson's death a freak accident when game footage shows a murkier picture.

Folks said this was a horrible reminder that hockey can be a very dangerous sport.

The hashtag "#sticksupforadam" took traction with the hockey community.

People even suggested retiring Johnson's jersey number.

The Elite Ice Hockey League, in which Nottingham plays, suspended all games originally scheduled for Sunday, October 29th, and asked that everyone respect Johnson's family and loved ones at this time.

Rob Schneider Dragged For Criticizing Elizabeth Banks' 'Dangerous Rhetoric' After She Called Out White Female Trump Voters

After actor and filmmaker Elizabeth Banks—who played Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games—called out white women who voted for President Donald Trump, MAGA actor Rob Schneider lashed out against what he referred to as her "dangerous rhetoric."

Those who've read the book and seen the film adaptation of The Hunger Games know that Trinket—known for joyfully announcing, "Happy Hunger Games and the odds may be ever in your favor!"—is a mistress of propaganda for a hostile government that forces teenagers to fight to the death every year to intimidate critics and keep society's poorest and most vulnerable in line. Trinket eventually embraces the rebellion.

Kid Rock Dragged After Offering Massive Discount To His MAGA Festival Due To Abysmal Ticket Sales

Musician Kid Rock has hitched his wagon to president Donald Trump for quite some time now, and it seems he too is in the "find out" stage of that particularly exercise in FAFO.

It seems that when the president you form your entire personality around craters to a catastrophic approval rating even for him, your ship starts to sink too.

Trump's Border Czar Ripped For Hypocrisy After Telling Pope Leo To 'Stay Out Of Politics'

President Donald Trump's border czar Tom Homan was called out for hypocrisy after telling Pope Leo XIV to "stay out of politics" after he clashed with Trump over the widely unpopular war in Iran.

Last week, Pope Leo criticized the war and called on the world "to reject war, especially a war which many people have said is an unjust war, which is continuing to escalate and is not resolving anything."
