Actor Geraldine Viswanathan took to her Instagram stories to thank Edebiri after it was reported she had to step away from 'Thunderbolts' due to scheduling conflicts.

The WGA and subsequent SAG/AFTRA strikes last year have caused significant delays and schedule shuffling on various TV and film productions resulting in actors having to abandon certain projects.

But the setback of previously attached actors having to jump ship has also provided opportunities for other actors like Bad Education star Geraldine Viswanathan, who has replaced Emmy-winning The Bear actor, Ayo Edbiri, in Marvel's upcoming film, Thunderbolts.

Edebiri was forced to leave Thunderbolts due to a scheduling conflict and was replaced by Viswanathan for her undisclosed role.

Grateful for the major opportunity, Viswanathan gave a shout-out to Edebiri in a classy way by posting a screenshot of the news article on her Instagram story.

She wrote in a text overlay:

"Thank you my friend Ayo Edebiri for being too booked 💖"

Fans loved the wholesome post.

Edebiri is the second actor to leave the MCU film after Beef and Walking Dead star Steven Yeun dropped out, presumably due to a scheduling conflict caused by the strikes.

For Viswanathan, Thunderbolts could catapult her career even further given the fact that she is now a part of the juggernaut that is Marvel.

The 28-year-old Australian actor gained recognition following her 2018 breakout role in Blockers earned her praise, followed by major roles in the film Hala, and Max's Bad Education in 2019.

For now, it looks like the rest of the established cast is still a go.

The star lineup currently includes Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier/White Wolf, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova /Black Widow, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost and Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster.

Thunderbolts centers on a group of anti-heroes and former villains teaming up to work for the U.S. government.

It is scheduled for a July 25, 2025 release.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
