A mother's confidence in her carefully chosen church outfit took an unexpected hit when her 10-year-old son offered his fashion critique, and social media users were quick to pile on.

There's nothing like finding an outfit that you love and feel really confident in, only to realize that you bear an uncanny resemblance to a popular film's costume stylings.

And that's exactly what happened to TikToker @kori_latham, who was getting dressed for church.

At first she felt really good about the new flowy tan dress, which looked like a wrap dress on top, was fitted at the waist, and then flowed into ruffles at the bottom of the dress.

To make the dress church-appropriate, she paired it with a high-collar, white long-sleeved shirt and cream, scrunchy boots.

The mom felt really good about her choices until she talked to her 10-year-old, sharing:

"Thought my church outfit was cute until my 10-year-old said I look like I was on 'Star Wars.'

Undeniably, the tan and white outfit was reminiscent of Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi's outfits, and even her haircut and hair color were similar enough to make a great gender-swapped Star Wars Halloween costume.

Fellow TikTokers couldn't help but join in on the roasting.

On the one hand, it's kind of a bummer that this mom was into her outfit and ready to go to church and then felt self-conscious because of the comparison her child made to the Star Wars franchise.

On the other hand, she surely had other cute outfits in her closet that she could wear for church, while she could easily convert this into a fun Halloween costume, if that is something that she celebrates.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is find it within ourselves to laugh at ourselves and see the lighter side of the situation—and discovering a cute outfit could be a creative costume is far from the worst thing.

The words of a heckler who shouted at MAGA Republican President Donald Trump on Monday have gone viral online.

Trump was stumping in Corinth, Mississippi, holding a MAGA rally to drum up support for GOP candidates in the upcoming midterm elections. His speech was, as usual, a mess of non sequiturs primarily focused on himself.

Katie Zacharia Is Getting Dragged Hard After Making A Cringey Update To Her Twitter Bio

Katie Zacharia, who lasted just five days as President Donald Trump's White House press secretary, was widely mocked online after she updated her bio on X to include her short-lived job.

Zacharia opened her debut briefing earlier this month with eight minutes of remarks lauding the "energetic president." She also asserted that "attendance is at record highs" at his rallies before presenting favorable figures on wage growth, prescription drug costs, employment and energy production.

Video Of Barry Keoghan Having 'Skin-Tightening' Procedure On His Face Sparks Reminder Of How Much He's Been Bullied Over His Looks

It's no secret that beauty standards in Hollywood are incredibly high, and that some people become incredibly mean and blunt when given a keyboard and a screen. When those two worlds are brought together, the results can be catastrophic.

Women in Hollywood arguably receive the worst treatments, with frequent comments made about their weight, their aging, and their styling, rather than the acting that they should be known for.

Ken Paxton Dragged After Awkwardly Forgetting Which Anniversary The U.S. Just Celebrated On July 4th

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is competing against Democrat James Talarico for a seat in the U.S. Senate, raised eyebrows after he gushed over the country's recent July 4th celebrations but got the anniversary number completely wrong.

This year marked the United States' semiquincentennial—250 years since the country's founding. It was impossible to miss considering President Donald Trump made a great big show of it, turning what should have been a milestone anniversary into a vehicle for his narcissism and all things MAGA.
