Kathy Arberg, a court spokeswoman, has confirmed that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, otherwise known as the "Notorious RBG," is back at work after an operation that removed cancerous growths in her lung. The growths were discovered when she cracked three ribs in a fall at the court.

The surgery was a success––and doctors say there is no sign of remaining disease. The justice, now 85, has been treated for cancer two other times: colorectal cancer in 1999 and pancreatic cancer in 2009. She is still in New York at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and no information has been released on when she might return to Washington.

The Supreme Court next meets on January 7. Ginsburg––despite her health problems––has never missed arguments. Close friends report Ginsburg is already sitting up in a chair and making phone calls.

Ginsburg, long considered a pop culture and feminist icon, is impressing many people with her drive.

In recent days, many extended Ginsburg their well wishes, though there appeared to be no doubt in anyone's mind that she'd emerge from her surgery stronger than ever.

Ginsburg's health woes came just ahead of the release of On the Basis of Sex, a biographical film based on her life. The film, which stars Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything) as Ginsburg and Armie Hammer (Call Me by Your Name) as her husband Marty, will be released tomorrow.

Jones had already generated significant awards buzz for her performance on the festival circuit, and is a favorite for an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.

Democratic Senator Trolls Trump With Hilariously Petty Idea For What To Name Trump's Ballroom When He Leaves Office

Arizona Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego floated the idea to name the new White House ballroom after former President Barack Obama once President Donald Trump leaves office, pointing out it would incense the notoriously thin-skinned president.

Trump recently ordered the demolition of the entire East Wing to make way for a 90,000 square-foot ballroom that will dwarf the size of the White House itself, sparking alarm from historical preservationists and the public alike.
