Trump's Press Secretary Told Reporters 'I Will Never Lie to You' and Then Lied to Their Faces Minutes Later

Former Trump campaign press secretary Kayleigh McEnany was recently appointed President Donald Trump's White House press secretary.

She's the fourth person to occupy the position and, like all of Trump's previous press secretaries, is an expert at spinning the President's most atrocious scandals into acts of benevolence to his supporters.

On Friday, McEnany held the first "daily" White House Press Briefing in over a year, and she made a surprising pledge.

Watch below.

One of the White House correspondents asked McEnany to pledge not to lie to any reporters going forward—a pledge none of her predecessors kept.

McEnany responded:

"I will never lie to you. You have my word on that."

McEnany then proceeded to lie to them multiple times as Vox's Aaron Rupar pointed out.

She said the sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh were "verifiably false."

This is far from the truth. Though Republican Senators may have voted to confirm Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, no exculpatory evidence was offered and his primary accuser, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, never withdrew her claims.

She then lied about sexual assault allegations against Trump, saying that the accusations of those nearly 30 women were outdated and answered by voters in the 2016 election four years ago.

In reality, E. Jean Carroll came out about her alleged assault by Trump in a dressing room in the 1990s. She's seeking the President's DNA to match it with a stain from the outfit she was wearing that day. Carroll's accusation came just last year.

McEnany later lied about recent revelations from handwritten FBI notes regarding the questioning of Trump's former Chief of Staff, Michael Flynn.

McEnany said there was a handwritten FBI note that said "we need to get Flynn to lie and get him fired."

In reality, the note said:

"What is our goal? Truth/admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?"

Flynn did lie to the FBI. He pleaded guilty for it.

Sadly, people weren't surprised that it took Kayleigh all of 15 minutes to break her vow.

Then again, in the Trump administration, lying to glorify the President is the primary job requirement.

Different face, same schtick.

A 'Fake Egg' Prank Targeting Kids Is Trending On TikTok—But Not Everyone Thinks It's Funny

In a recent TikTok trend, people are presenting young children with "fake eggs" and crushing the egg in their hands to show that the eggs are fake.

In order for this trend to work, the person has to poke a hole into each end of the egg to drain it of its yolk and let the shell dry, so it becomes more brittle and easy to crush, making the prank more believable.

Guy Sparks Debate After Abandoning Girlfriend In Economy While He Booked Himself A First Class Seat On Flight

It's really hard to watch while someone is clearly not being treated well enough by their partner, and instead of accepting the reality check for what it is, they spend their time digging their heels in deeper and defending their partner's honor.

That was certainly true for TikToker Nicole Vawter, or @nicmarievee, anyway, when fellow TikTokers called her partner out on selfishly booking himself a first class seat while his long-time girlfriend sat back in economy.

Guy Sparks Modern Dating Debate With His Unhinged Texts To Woman Who Turned Him Down For Second Date

You know what they say: if a person has to point out how nice they are, they probably aren't really all that nice.

Actions tend to speak louder than words, with an affinity for niceness and kindness being among the best examples. When a person is truly nice and kind, it will come through in their daily attitude and actions without them having to say anything at all.
