White House Gives Bonkers Explanation For Massive Bruise On Trump's Hand

After journalist Aaron Rupar spotted a nasty bruise on the back of Trump's right hand, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt gave a far-fetched explanation for it.

When a closeup image of Republican President Donald Trump's hands clasped together went viral for a noticeable bruise disguised with makeup, the White House unconvincingly explained the rationale behind the discolored mark.

The circulating image was taken by a Getty photographer at Trump's White House meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday, which coincided with the third anniversary of Russia invading Ukraine.

On Monday, journalist Aaron Rupar shared the peculiar image on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote:

"Scrolling Getty and couldn't help but notice this photo of a huge bruise on Trump's hand today."

It raised all kinds of questions and prompted theories concerning the President's health.

In response to the hubbub, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told NBC News:

“President Trump is a man of the people. His commitment is unwavering, and he proves that every single day.”

And what of his bruises?

Not to worry. Leavitt didn't leave us hanging.

She explained:

“President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day.”

Phew! So it wasn't from Macron wresting the President's grabby mitt away from his knee during the press conference.

This moment, right here.

The internet remained skeptical.

Trump himself stated during his 2024 Time "Person of Year" interview that his hand bruise seen on other occasions was due to "shaking hands with thousands of people.”

Meanwhile, the 78-year-old has continued to be dismissive toward inquiries about his health, and he has yet to publicly release his medical records.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
