Homeless Man Expertly Shuts Down Anti-Vaxxer Who Asked Why Homeless Aren't Dead Of COVID

Homeless Man Expertly Shuts Down Anti-Vaxxer Who Asked Why Homeless Aren't Dead Of COVID

A homeless man's quick response to an anti-vaxxer protester who tried to use him as an example to prove her point has people on Twitter cheering.

The protest was led by a woman yelling conspiracy theories into a bullhorn.

When she tried to involve a local homeless man named Ray in her rhetoric, asking why he wasn't dead of the virus, he shut her down immediately by hollering back a very simple answer—they're vaccinated.

See the moment below.

The protest took place on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles this past Saturday morning.

It didn't appear to be very well attended. But with bullhorn in hand, the group's leader made plenty of ruckus anyway.

As she and the group passed by Ray, who was walking down the street with his belongings, the woman decided to involve him and other homeless people in the area in her rhetoric.

Without asking—and speaking about them as if they were inanimate objects that couldn't hear her—the woman bellowed:

"Do you see all of these homeless people around. Are they dead in the street from Covid? Hell no! Why?"

Ray immediately bellowed back:

"Because I'm vaccinated, dumb fu*k!"

The woman, seemingly unfazed by the truly epic clapback she'd just been dealt, simply kept on yelling her conspiracy theories.

The man who filmed the encounter was able to catch up with Ray a few hours later.

In a video shared in a follow-up tweet, he was able to learn a bit about him and thank him for his great comeback to the anti-vaxxer who tried to use him to spread her conspiracy theories.

"Ray gave the whole country, honestly internationally, people not just a good laugh but honestly sends a strong message."
He also set up a GoFundMe for Ray to help him get an ID, a cell phone and some money to get back on his feet.

On Twitter, Ray quickly became a hero for his snappy response to the anti-vaxxer.

As of this writing, the GoFundMe for Ray has raised more than $17,000.

Here's hoping it serves our new public health hero well.
