Students At Indiana University couldn't hold back their laughter when 'Libs Of TikTok' hate activist Chaya Raichik fumbled after being asked to define 'wokeness' while speaking alongside GOP Rep. Jim Banks.

Students at Indiana University laughed openly at Chaya Raichik—best known as the woman behind the anti-LGBTQ+ "Libs of TikTok" social media accounts—after she struggled to define the term "wokeness" while speaking alongside Jim Banks, a congressional representative from Indiana.

For the political right, "wokeness" or "wokeism" generally refers to a left-leaning perspective that acknowledges the widespread existence of racism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination in American society.

Advocates of this viewpoint assert that addressing these systemic biases requires ongoing vigilance and policies that consider identity and historical disadvantages. However, conservatives often employ the term "wokeism" to criticize a broader spectrum of liberal ideas that they perceive as detrimental to historically privileged groups, meritocracy, and religious freedom.

True to form, Raichik, who gave a speech at the university's Indiana Memorial Union, complained about "wokeness" in "schools," "college campuses," "the workforce," and in "the streets." She claimed it's "being shoved down your throat wherever you go."

Things got awkward for her after a student asked her for a definition of "wokeness," to which she replied:

“Wokeness is the destruction of normalicy [sic] and… And… Um… Uh... of our lives."

Her failure to define the concept led many in the room to erupt into laughter.

Raichik's fumble forced Banks to take over. He said the term is “anti-Americanism," adding:

“I’m sick and tired of being taught that America isn’t worth fighting and dying for, it’s a great country, it’s the greatest country in the history of the world."

You can watch what happened in the video below from student Bryce Greene, who identified himself as the student who asked Raichik to define the term.

You can see Banks' response below.

Raichik was swiftly criticized.

Raichik isn't the only prominent far-right pundit unable to define "wokeness" or "wokeism."

In 2022, Ben Shapiro was mocked following an appearance at a Young America’s Foundation (YAF) event at Iowa State University where a liberal attendee challenged his definition of "wokeism."

Shapiro defined wokeism as the belief “all inequalities of today are attributable to not only historical injustices but also continuing injustices in the now.”

However, the liberal, identified as a former campaign staffer for Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren, pushed back and questioned why Republicans have become so confrontational about efforts to raise a broader awareness of racial prejudice and discrimination.

Shapiro dodged the question entirely when the unnamed activist said he was "not characterizing what I am saying accurately" and even attempted to cut off the conversation entirely, saying that “we’re going to have to stop this because it is going nowhere.”

Sure enough, when the activist said he was “just trying to understand” Shapiro’s perspective, someone working for the event walked over him and blocked his microphone.

Guy Admits His Ignorance After Girlfriend Educates Him On What Really Happens During Menstruation—And He's Horrified

Women's health should be much more common knowledge than it is, but many subjects related to women—especially menstruation, pregnancy, and childbirth—are still considered pretty "taboo" subjects in public spaces, in shared educational spaces, and, of course, among men.

That's why there are so many men like TikToker @connortalkslol who only start finding out what menstruation really is and what the cycle entails when they go looking for the information themselves.
