Rosemary Hayne, who was caught on video throwing her burrito at a Chipotle worker in Parma, Ohio, had her jail sentence reduced in exchange for working at a fast food restaurant.

An Ohio woman who chucked her burrito bowl at a Chipotle server, as seen in a viral Reddit video, was partially sentenced to work at a fast food restaurant.

The judge who ordered the sentence said he wanted to teach her a lesson about empathy towards fast food workers.

Rosemary Hayne was charged with assault and disorderly conduct after a dispute led to Hayne hurling her food at Emily Russell, a server who worked at a Chipotle location in Parma.

Russell had to work the remainder of her shift with food in her hair after being slammed in the face with the 200-degree contents of the bowl, as there was no one to relieve her.

She was later taken to the emergency room after her shift.

Hayne was found guilty of one charge of assault.

At Hayne's sentencing on November 28, Judge Timothy Gilligan of Parma Municipal Court reprimanded her, saying:

“This is not ‘Real Housewives of Parma.’ This behavior is not acceptable."

He added:

“You didn’t get your burrito bowl the way you like it, and this is how you respond?”

Hayne countered:

“If I showed you how my food looked and how my food looked a week later from that same restaurant, it’s disgusting-looking."

The Judge replied:

“I bet you won’t be happy with the food you are going to get in the jail."

Hayne was sentenced to spend 180 days in jail, 90 of which were suspended.

But the Judge offered to reduce 60 days of her 90-day jail time so Hayne could work 20 hours a week at a fast food restaurant for two months.

Hayne took him up on his offer.

Social media users shared their hunches about how her sentence would play out.

Judge Gilligan told the news outlet:

"So, I thought, 'Why should the city taxpayers pay for her and feed her for 90 days in jail if I can teach her a sense of empathy?'"

Russell, who has since quit her job after the traumatizing incident, said that Hayne “got exactly what she deserved."

She added:

“Everyone has bad days, but it should never come to a point where you have to mistreat a human being."
