Vanessa Hudgens Reacts To Fans Saying Swift And Kelce's Romance Is The Plot Of 'High School Musical'

Fans couldn't help but notice the similarities between the pop star and football star's unlikely romance and the plot of the hit Disney Channel movie 'High School Musical.'

The romance between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift has taken the world by storm, and at this point, there is absolutely no avoiding it.

And while some may be focused on how often the singer shows up during an NFL broadcast or the logistics of her making it to Las Vegas in time for the Super Bowl after finishing a concert in Japan, others can't help but point out their relationship is something straight out of a romantic comedy.

Some believe the plot of this rom-com is all too familiar.

It started when the Grammy winner had to attend the Golden Globes on January 7 instead of cheering on her beau and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs, as she was nominated for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement for her film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.

A user on X, formerly Twitter, pointed out her predicament eerily paralleled the storyline of High School Musical, in which Gabriella's academic decathlon took place at the same time as Troy's championship basketball game.

And when Taylor was there to rush the field and celebrate the Chief's victory over the Baltimore Ravens, sending them to the Super Bowl, fans took notice.

Further proving their point is the fact that Swift has a concert in Japan the night before Kelce plays for another NFL championship.

All the buzz surrounding the HSM plot even had Gabriella herself—or Vanessa Hudgens, who played her in the films—chiming in.

In response to an Entertainment Tonightpost on the subject shared on Instagram, the actor commented:

"Hilarious"

People on social media loved that Hudgens reacted to the post.

We guess we'll have to wait until February 11 to see how it all plays out for Troy and Gabriella Taylor and Travis.
