Carpenter used a clever play on words during the outro of her song 'Nonsense' to celebrate Pride Month at the 2024 Governors Ball in New York City over the weekend.

At the 2024 Governors Ball in New York City, Sabrina Carpenter once again ad-libbed the outro for her song "Nonsense," this time using the altered lyrics to celebrate Pride Month.

The singer, who just announced her sixth studio album Short n' Sweet...

... also released her new single "Please Please Please” with a music video featuring Barry Keoghan, no less.

WARNING: NSFW language.

Carpenter debuted the new song at the Governors Ball on June 8 in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, much to fans' delight, but her most celebrated moment was her Pride Month shoutout at the end of "Nonsense."

In true Sabina Carpenter fashion, the singer changed the outro from her 2022 hit to say:

“Do I text him back? / It’s such a tough call."
“That won’t fit inside me / Bro, I’m dumb small,"
"People who hate Pride can suck my Gov Balls.”

Governors Ball posted the video to their Instagram with the caption:

"happy pride 😘"

Viewers of the performance applauded Carpenter's new ending and joined the celebration.

"Gov ball that was one of the biggest loudest most playful crowds I’ve ever seen."
"so grateful for each and every one of you!!!!"
"Thanks for having us!"

Thanks for being a fierce ally, Sabrina!

Short n' Sweet is set for an August 23 release.
