Video Of Paparazzi Shaming Sabrina Carpenter For Refusing To Take Photos Sparks Fan Outrage

Fans of the singer are defending her after a video of French paparazzi saying "Shame on you, Sabrina" for not allowing them to photograph her went viral.

While many people are openly envious of celebrities, they tend to forget that becoming a superstar does come with its fair share of challenges.

When your face is on billboards and screens all over the world, it is very easy to be recognized.

As a result, it's not easy for a household name to take a simple outing, be it a run to the grocery store or a quiet dinner out, without being approached by an adoring fan hoping for an autograph.

Or worse, the paparazzi following them in hopes of making a profit off their candid, unauthorized photographs.

Grammy winner Sabrina Carpenter became the target of the paparazzi on a recent night out in Paris.

As captured in a now-viral video, the two-time Grammy-winning singer was both hounded and heckled by paparazzi for going to great lengths to hide her face from their flashing cameras:

The former Girl Meets World star was seen leaving a Parisian building surrounded by the flashing lights of the paparazzi's cameras, with photographers heard asking for "just one shot."

But Carpenter had her face covered with a scarf as she speedily got into her car, with the help of her team, resulting in a photographer audibly yelling "shame on you, Sabrina."

The video then cut to Carpenter leaving another building, this time preceded by her entourage, with a female member of her team holding up a shimmery purple purse to block the cameras from capturing the "Espresso" singer, which a photographer could be heard declaring was "ridiculous."

After Carpenter successfully climbed into her car, a photographer declared:

"The fans will see this Sabrina... not good..."

That unidentified photographer was correct, as Carpenter's fans have indeed now seen the video—and the outcome was "not good."

For the paparazzi, that is.

Countless fans of the chanteuse took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their outrage at how she was treated by the paparazzi, declaring all of the unseen cameramen to be the ones who were "ridiculous" and that they, not Carpenter, should be ashamed of themselves, with a few praising Carpenter's team for keeping her protected.

A few also brought up Chappell Roan, who very notably called out photographers on the red carpets of both the 2024 Grammy Awards and 2024 VMAs.

It's sometimes easy to forget that superstars aren't always performing, and sometimes genuinely don't want attention, a point Scarlett Johansson recently spoke out about, explaining why she always declines to take pictures with fans.

Seeing as every photographer in the video wanted a picture of Carpenter not as a happy memento, but instead as an easy way to earn a lot of money, one can't blame Carpenter for keeping her face hidden with a shawl.

Conservatives Are Melting Down Over 'He-Man' Movie Joke About Pronouns—And They Missed The Point Entirely

Conservatives have basically two cherished hobbies: caterwauling about trans people and missing the point of every joke. And with the release of the trailer for the new He-Man movie, they got to do both in one go!

Nicholas Galitzine stars as the titular super hero in the upcoming film adaptation Masters of the Universe, and given our times, it's only natural the film would make a joke about pronouns.

Even MTG Is Demanding That MAGA Admit The Killing Of Alex Pretti Was Completely Unjustified

Former Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene continues to speak out against the MAGA movement that brought her to national prominence, this time calling on Republicans to condemn the killing of Alex Pretti by ICE agents in Minneapolis.

Calls for an investigation have intensified from across the political spectrum after analysis of multiple videos showed ICE officers removing a handgun from Pretti—a weapon that authorities said Pretti was permitted to carry but was not handling at the time—before fatally shooting him.
