Tennis Star Carlos Alcaraz Had A Hilarious Wardrobe Malfunction At The US Open—And Fans Are Cracking Up

Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz went viral on Monday after his tank top left his chest a bit more exposed than intended—and fans came with the jokes.

Tennis fans came for the action at the U.S. Open, but Carlos Alcaraz’s wardrobe ended up stealing some of the spotlight.

The defending champion and World No. 3 returned to competitive singles last Monday after a four-month layoff due to a right wrist injury, facing Roman Safiullin in the opening round at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

But a different part of Alcaraz’s anatomy got some unexpected airtime when his nipple made an appearance:

Alcaraz came to defend his title—and his titty, apparently. The culprit appeared to be his loose-fitting brown basketball-style tank, which wasn’t exactly staying put during play. The kit was a collaboration between Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack and Nike, and Scott was in the stands to see it in action.

Naturally, the cameras caught an even closer look at Alcaraz’s wardrobe malfunction:

Alcaraz wore a similar tank for last week’s mixed doubles event alongside Serena Williams, though the purple version managed to keep everything under wraps. He also debuted a new look, showing off his longer hair pulled back with a headband.

New hair, new kit, and apparently, a little more exposure than anyone bargained for.

And just like that, the internet had found something besides Alcaraz’s tennis game to analyze:

Of course, Alcaraz is much more accustomed to making headlines for what he does with a racket.

He became the youngest men’s world No. 1 in tennis history at 19 after winning his first major at the 2022 U.S. Open. He has since racked up seven Grand Slam singles titles, becoming the youngest man in tennis history to complete a career Grand Slam.

Known for his explosive speed, powerful forehand, and ability to pull off ridiculous shots on the move, Alcaraz had plenty to prove after a wrist injury forced him to miss the French Open and Wimbledon. He later withdrew from the Cincinnati Open in August as his team remained cautious about getting him back on the court.

And apparently, four months away came with a few nerves.

The tennis pro admitted the long-awaited return had him feeling the pressure:

“Starting the day really nervous; really, really nervous, thinking I’m going to make it, I’m going to compete again. … I had more nerves than usual. But just happy because, for me, my goal here is to compete, to enjoy, and let’s see how my body’s going to react after the matches, after the competition again.”

The shaky start didn’t last long. After opening with a double fault, Alcaraz found his rhythm and rolled to a 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 victory. Next up, he’ll face Portuguese star Jaime Faria in the second round after defeating American Jenson Brooksby in a five-set battle on Sunday.

Not a bad return for Alcaraz: three winning sets, one healthy wrist, and one nipple that briefly became the main event.

Anti-Bullying Activist With Rare Genetic Condition Speaks Out After Photo Of Her Is Used To Mock Trans Women

Marfanoid-progeroid-lipodystrophy syndrome (MPL)—also called Marfan lipodystrophy syndrome (MFLS)—is an extremely rare genetic condition. It presents as a prematurely aged look caused by missing fat tissue and partial fat loss in the body.

Fewer than 10 cases of MPL were known when the syndrome was formally recognized and named as a distinct genetic condition in 2016. Before this discovery, people with the disorder were frequently misdiagnosed with Neonatal Progeroid Syndrome (NPS) or atypical Marfan syndrome.

CBS News Slammed After Publishing Controversial Headline About Dem Senate Nominee Abdul El-Sayed

CBS News is facing heavy criticism after publishing a "blatantly racist" headline about Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed that was reportedly greenlit by Bari Weiss, the organization's editor-in-chief.

CBS has experienced noticeable right wing shift after its parent company, Paramount, sought government approval for a merger with Skydance. The FCC later approved the merger and Paramount paid $16 million to settle a lawsuit brought by President Donald Trump, which critics said amounted to a payoff to secure the merger's approval.
