Robber Who Broke Into Kim K's Paris Hotel Room Snidely Says He 'Doesn't Care' That She's Traumatized

In a new interview, one of the robbers who broke into Kim Kardashian's Paris hotel room in 2016 said he has no remorse for the crime and "[doesn't] care" Kardashian was traumatized by the incident.

Yunis Abbas was one of 12 men charged for the crime—in which Kardashian and a hotel employee were held hostage at gunpoint in her hotel room. Abbas was recently granted an early release from prison for health reasons.

Speaking with Vice News, Abbas said Kardashian's behavior on her former reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians convinced him Kardashian was rich to a level justifying his attack on her and he has no remorse for the incident whatsoever.

Abbas told Vice he didn't know who Kardashian was at the time, but was familiar with her then-husband Ye.

While researching her during the planning of the crime, Abbas watched episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and one episode in particular stood out to him.

He told Vice:

“I saw one of her shows where she threw her diamond in the pool, in that episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
"I thought, 'She’s got a lot of money. This lady doesn’t care at all'."

He went on to say he of course understands Kardashian was traumatized by the event, but he simply doesn't care.

“Of course she must have been traumatized. I don’t doubt it...”
“...Since she was throwing money away, I was there to collect it and that was that."
"Guilty? No, I don’t care. I don’t care.”

But the incident was more than a simple robbery for Kardashian, as she described in detail during a 2020 interview with David Letterman.

In that sit-down, Kardashian related how Abbas and his 11 accomplices handcuffed her, tied her up with zip-ties and duct-taped her mouth and eyes.

Kardashian also said since she was wearing only her bathrobe, she was certain she was going to be sexually assaulted and began mentally preparing herself for the brutality.

She told Letterman:

“So I was like, ‘OK, this is the time, I’m going to get raped. Just deal, like, it’s gonna happen.’ You know, like just prepare yourself.”

She also began thinking of her sister Kourtney Kardashian, who was out with friends.

She imagined her coming back to the hotel suite to her brutalized, dead body.

“I kept on thinking, [Kourtney's] gonna come home, and I’m gonna be dead in the room, and she’s gonna be traumatized for the rest of her life if she sees me.”

On social media, many were horrified by Abbas' comments.

Abbas also detailed how he and his accomplices planned the attack, saying they tracked Kardashian on Snapchat.

He issued a threat to other celebrities living similar lifestyles.

“They should be a little less showy toward people who can’t afford it. For some people, it’s provocative.”

Kardashian has said the anxiety and flashbacks she has suffered since the ordeal indeed changed her approach to social media, only posting content after the fact so she is not as easily trackable.

Stephen Colbert Makes Somber Plea To Americans In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Death

Late-night host Stephen Colbert had a somber message for Americans as he addressed the assassination of far-right activist Charlie Kirk, stressing that "political violence only leads to more political violence."

Kirk died after an unidentified gunman shot him in the neck as he—ironically enough—mocked victims of gun violence at an event in Utah Valley State University. Kirk's murder has galvanized the far-right, with President Donald Trump and his surrogates claiming without evidence that rhetoric from Democrats is responsible for Kirk's death.

TikToker Hilariously Calls Out Target After Champion Pants Feature Awkwardly-Placed Front Pleat

Sometimes you can just tell when something was designed *for* women, but was not actually designed *by* women.

Take, for instance, the new pleated pants available at Target from the Champion clothing line. While there's nothing wrong with pleated pants and they certainly have a suitable spot in the workplace, the latest rendition of Champion pleated pants are, shall we say, NSFW.

Woman Goes Viral After Revealing How Her Obsession With Matcha Landed Her In The Hospital

Let's be honest: Too much of anything isn't good for us. It's all about the balance!

But the media and social media trends have taught us that certain things are really good for us, encouraging us to be like the "very mindful and very demure" girls and take care of ourselves. One such example is drinking more matcha, especially if you really like coffee or think you have a caffeine addiction.
