Mom Sparks Debate After Helping Bullied 10-Year-Old Daughter Wax Her 'Unibrow' And 'Mustache'

TikTok channel The Pease Family sparked a bit of controversy after Ashlee Pease helped wax her daughter Giselle's face at home.

A mother of a 10-year-old girl who has been subjected to bullying for having a "unibrow" and a "mustache" filmed a TikTok video of her waxing it off her daughter's face at home.

The clip was met with some scrutiny online and sparked a conversation about the appropriateness of a child's bodily autonomy.

Ashlee Pease's daughter, Giselle, insisted on the home remedy in spite of the fact that Pease assured her that her full eyebrows were beautiful and that the thin hairs on her lip hardly constituted a "mustache" as her tormentors proclaimed.

Said the accommodating mother:

"She doesn't even have a mustache. Just a little bit of hair."
"Every girl has a little bit of hair but we're gonna wax it because she wants it waxed."

In the clip, Pease, who is the owner of the popular Pease Family TikTok account, tried several waxing attempts that didn't seem to go well.

She also tried taking a tweezer to remove her "unibrow" but it was to no avail.

The text overlay read:

"Daughter wanted to get waxed because ppl in school are teasing her."

Pease wrote in the caption that Giselle "has some stubborn hairs."

When the DIY beauty attempt didn't work, Pease said at the end of the clip they were going to go to a professional since the hairs were "barely coming off."

She added:

"Honestly this wax isn't working."

Some TikTokers denounced Pease for indulging her daughter's wishes to do something they thought was inappropriate.

Others, however, came to Pease's defense and argued a mother was only supporting her daughter's bodily autonomy to prevent further bullying at school.

Even Trump's NASA Director Had To Set Kim Kardashian Straight After She Said The Moon Landing 'Didn't Happen'

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy—who is also NASA's Acting Administrator—issued the weirdest fact-check ever when he corrected reality star Kim Kardashian after she revealed herself to be a moon landing conspiracist.

Conspiracy theorists have long alleged the moon landing was fabricated by NASA in what they claim was an elaborate hoax—and Kardashian certainly made it clear where she stands in a video speaking to co-star Sarah Paulson on the set of the new Hulu drama All’s Fair.

Biggest Financial Mistakes People Make In Their 20s

It can be really fun to experience something for the first time that you've never really had before, like a disposable income.

For the average person, there isn't generally a lot of excess money to spend frivolously when they're a child, so when they hit their twenties and have their first "real" or "more important" job, they might find themselves in a position to enjoy some of the finer things in life.

Special Olympics Fires Back At Kid Rock With Powerful Statement After He Used 'The R-Word' To Describe Halloween Costume

MAGA singer Kid Rock was called out by Loretta Claiborne, the Chief Inspiration Officer of the Special Olympics, after he used the "r-word"—a known ableist slur—to describe his Halloween costume this year.

Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was speaking with Fox News host Jesse Watters when he donned a face mask and said he'd be going as a "r**ard" for Halloween. Watters had guessed he was dressed as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who spearheaded the nation's COVID-19 pandemic response.
