"Earplugs and Live Music"—People Share The Most Underrated Combinations

Combos are great - no I don't mean the snack, though those are delicious AF also. I mean the magic that happens when you take 2 things and put them together. Peanut butter was delicious, but meeting jelly was a serious upgrade. Punches are fantastic, but you totally get more points for a punch/kick combo. See where I'm going with this? Combos are a total Ciara-style level up.

One Reddit user asked:

What are some underrated combinations?

Now, I'm gonna be real with you. Most of this is about food - so if you're hungry maybe have a snack before you go in on this one. There are some seriously tempting ideas happening here. Some of these have been edited for clarity where needed.

No Tinnitus Is The Best Tinnitus

Ear plugs and live music

They really don't detract from the experience once you get used to them and you won't get tinnitus. Let me tell you, you really don't want tinnitus.

Shower Beer

A hot shower with a cold beer.

Drink it during the shower. If you had a really long day, take 2 or 3 with you. Not sure why, but it's the most relaxing thing ever. The shower beer is a deeply religious event.

Waffles

Peanut butter on waffles. As a kid my mom couldn't keep enough frozen waffles and peanut butter in the house, two days after a trip to the grocery store my brother and I would be looking for more.

The Roadtrip Soundtrack

Giphy

Music and long car rides. Can't underestimate the importance of a good song while taking a trip.

All Cylinders

Duuuuude, jalapeño jelly and cream cheese on a Wheat Thin is like sex! It hits all cylinders; creamy, savory, salty, crunchy, sweet, spicy. It's perfect.

- DirtPiranha

Shh

Shutting the f*ck up and listening.

Try it. It's life changing.

Bubbly Juice

Everyone thought I was weird for months at my job for this, but I'd mix cranberry juice and orange juice with sprite and it was absolutely delicious. People said it sounded disgusting but all of a sudden nowadays everyone is drinking it or asking me to make them one. Another personal favorite is strawberry kiwi juice and apple juice mixed with sprite. The key is to only put enough sprite for some bubbles, that's it.

Blueberry coffee

I'm from Long Island and we drink more 7-11 coffee than the entire state of California. That's where I first discovered the flavour a while back. I wrote it off as blasphemy for years until I got the balls to try it. One of my steady favourites. The blueberry taste isn't overpowering and mixes well with the light roast. Put a little more milk in than usual and it tastes like you're drinking a warm blueberry Pop Tart.

Day Off

A nice warm house, a snowstorm outside, and the knowledge that you have the next day off.

Seems Counter-intuitive, But...

Coffee and a nap.A Napuccino.

Slam a coffee and take a 20-30 minute nap/rest (no more than 30 mins). It allows your veins to dilate and absorb the caffeine more efficiently, making you more energized upon getting up!
