Trump Claims Virus Testing Is 'Overrated' As He Refuses To Wear Face Mask During Visit To Mask Supplier

Over 80 thousand Americans are dead and millions more are unemployed from the virus that's upended daily life in the United States.

People are understandably eager to get back to work and to some semblance of normal, but only a few are willing to sacrifice their safety to do so—or, rather, the safety of others.

President Donald Trump is apparently one of those people.

Eager to revive the Obama-era economic stability he touted in favor of his reelection, Trump has repeatedly called for local leaders to scale back stay-at-home measures and get businesses open again. He claims that the hesitation to do so isn't based in science, but is actually a conspiracy from Democrats willing to destroy lives to better their chances at reelection.

Health experts have repeatedly said that there's no way to safely return to normal without a national testing apparatus that can glean an accurate count of the infection rate in the United States and the pathways to stop the spread.

Continuing his decades-long opposition to the truth, the President subsequently railed against adequate testing while appearing at the medical supply company Owens & Minor in a visit that he tried to turn into a makeshift campaign rally.

Watch below.

The President said:

"So we have the best testing in the world. Could be that testing's frankly overrated. Maybe it is overrated...they always say 'we want more, we want more' and they don't wanna give you credit."

Despite multiple people in his orbit testing positive for the virus, the President still refuses to wear a mask in public.

It was par for the course of Trump's ineptitude to call for reopening while dismissing the key to a safe return to normal.

Trump may tell the public that testing is overrated, but it hasn't stopped him from making sure he gets tested every day.

Unbelievable.

In a video message, they noted that the Trump administration is "pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens."
