A university student who shares an apartment with six other housemates shared a TikTok video showing her kitchen after it had been completely destroyed.

The TikToker, named Maya, said she made the horrific discovery when she went to return a snack back to the refrigerator.

"I went to put the feta away at 3 am and came down to this," she wrote in the caption.

Behold and brace yourself.

The video clip, which racked up over 3.5 million views, showed what may as well have been a crime scene.

Most of the kitchen floor was covered in significant amounts of what appeared to be a combination of food, condiments, and spilled milk–along with smashed glass containers and an assortment of kitchen utensils.

Looking above, the cupboards and ceiling were streaked with ketchup or BBQ sauce, as if Jackson Pollock was resurrected to revive the expressionist movement and use Maya's kitchen as a three-dimensional canvas.

Without context, TikTokers wondered if the devastation was the work of a bear or Storm Eunice.

With so many inquiries, Maya followed the clip with an explanation.

The "craziest" thing, Maya said of the shocking display, was the devastation was not the handiwork of someone who was "living or paying rent on this house."

Maya said, "it was done by a guest," although her housemates had no idea which "guest" was the culprit.

"So my housemate decided to invite two guests to stay over after a little drinking night out at the pub."

She added one of the guests was someone with whom they had an issue "in terms of house cleanliness," adding–without mentioning what that specifically entailed–it did affect members of the household "mentally."

Despite a decision to permanently ban the problematic guest from the house, the housemate reversed the decision.

Maya said she had a hard time falling asleep that night because she had an interview for an internship the next morning.

She was tossing and turning for a while, and when she finally drifted off to sleep, she heard a loud bang that woke her up.

Maya said she heard her housemate and one of the guests arguing but didn't know what caused the argument.

Since she was already awake, she eventually decided to put back the container of feta she had around 3 am–which was when she discovered the atrocity in the kitchen.

"My initial thought was, like, a robbery. But then I was just like, 'why are they throwing food around'."

"I was so confused, I think I sat there for ten minutes in complete silence and shock," she said, adding, "I was stressed, I can't even tell you."

She eventually called for her other housemates, who came down, took in the view of the annihilated kitchen and exclaimed, "What the actual f'k."

Maya has yet to update viewers on how well she did in her internship interview the following morning after losing a good night's sleep.
