The liberal actor said she's 'disappointed' after learning her new film had been sold to her 'Full House' co-star's new conservative TV network, Great American Family.

In what was disappointing news to actor Jodie Sweetin, her latest film was sold to network Great American Family (GAF). GAF was founded as a conservative, Evangelical Christian alternative to the Hallmark Channel by Sweetin's former costar Candace Cameron Bure.

Sweetin did not appreciate her film being sold to a network setting itself up as focused on keeping "traditional marriage at its core." The new network came about after Hallmark addressed complaints about a lack of diversity in their films which featured White, heteronormative, able-bodied Christian couples almost exclusively under network head Bill Abbott.

Sweetin and Bure worked together on Full House and Fuller House and have appeared together at cast reunions. But Sweetin has been a vocal critic of Bure's bigotry.

Sweetin, who is a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, did not mince words when asked about her feelings about GAF acquiring the rights to Craft Me A Romance.

She stated:

"Sometimes, we, as actors, don’t have control over which network buys the projects we are in, nor are we a part of the process in which they get sold."
"So I was very surprised to learn by reading about it in the press yesterday that the independent film I worked on over a year ago was sold to Great American Family."
"I am disappointed, but in keeping with my mission of supporting the LGBTQ+ family, any potential or future money made from this sale will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations."

The references to Full House rolled in quickly.

Some people called out Cameron Bure for her pettyness.

But applauded Sweetin for her response.

Others are here to support Sweetin no matter what.

Folks were glad to see Sweetin will donate proceeds to the LGBTQ+ community.

Great American Family took over GAC Family in 2023.
