Couple Floored After Harry Styles Takes Their Photo On Vacation—And Then DMs It To Them

After a chance encounter with Styles while vacationing in Rome, a couple got a surprise when Styles himself DMed them on Instagram to share the photo he took of them riding a Surrey bicycle.

Imagine you're on your dream vacation to Rome when you suddenly spot one of your favorite celebrities.

And then that celebrity offers to take a picture of you and says he'll DM it to you on Instagram. And then one day you open the app to find a message request from said celebrity because he actually followed through.

Sounds like the plot of a 2020s reboot of Notting Hill or something, but it's what actually happened to social media user Jess after she ran into Harry Styles.

Jess was vacationing in Rome with her boyfriend Ted, riding a Surrey bike around the city when who should they come across but music icon, actor and former One Direction member Harry Styles.

She told People:

"Harry was genuinely lovely."

And apparently, like any other guy on the street, he even offered to take a few snapshots for Jess and Ted.

That would have been exciting enough, but then he promised to DM the photos to Jess later—and actually followed through.

message request from Harry Styles is ridiculous #help

As she shared on TikTok, she got an actual message request on Instagram from the singer so that he could DM her.

She wrote in her caption:

"message request from Harry Styles is ridiculous #help"

Help, indeed! Jess was obviously freaking out about it on her Instagram Story, as most of us would have.

So what did Styles actually say to Jess in the DM? As she shared in a screenshot, he included the photos, along with the message:

"As promised, hope you guys had a great trip. H"

Yep, pretty sure they did, Harry, judging from Jess' posts about it.

As she put it in another Instagram post, the whole thing was:

"a sequence of events (that i will never shut up about)"

And who can blame her?! Certainly not people on social media, who were just as excited as she was.

From the sounds of it, this kind of Average Joe, friendly behavior is just the way he is.

Back in March, a London taxi driver posted a selfie on Instagram with Styles in which she talked about the "friendly young chap" she got to talking with in her cab who she didn't even realize was Harry Styles.

It wasn't until she remarked on how similar his voice sounded to the singer that he confirmed he was, in fact, the singer in question. Just another day being one of the biggest stars on Earth, no big deal!
