U.S. Open Goes Viral With Their Perfect Camera Shot After Spotting Pierce Brosnan In The Crowd For Men's Final

No one can resist a perfectly timed joke.

It's been a few years since the last James Bond installment, but most everyone is familiar with the suave and quick-witted secret service officer.

Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan had a moment in the spotlight recently that had fans feeling nostalgic for the movie franchise and Brosnan's turns as the iconic spy.

Brosnan portrayed 007 in four of the films: GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999), and Die Another Day (2002). He was an easy fan favorite with his ability to balance sex appeal with action and humor, also demonstrated in other films like Mrs. Doubtfire and The Out-Laws.

So when he appeared at the men's final of the U.S. Open, the broadcast cameraperson knew just what to do.

During the showdown between Ben Shelton and Alexander Zverev at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, the broadcast board counted down the seconds, and when the time "0.07" appeared, the camera panned to Brosnan in the crowd.

Viewers appreciated the cameraperson's timing and called it "absolute cinema."

While this was just a small moment, it was still a fun tribute to a beloved franchise.

Pre-production has reportedly started on "James Bond 26," with little known about who has been cast to fill 007's shoes. But screenwriter Steven Knight has confirmed that he's been writing with the new actor in mind.

Knight told Radio 4's Today:

"It does make life a little bit easier if you know who that person is, but also you have to write the character, not the actor."

Producer Amy Pascal recently commented that the world will likely find out who the next Bond is by the end of the year.

Brosnan believes the new Bond will be someone we haven't yet heard of, telling The Times that, "there are lots of good hats in the ring” and “lots of great actors” being considered. “I see it. I follow it. They could probably just go left-field and pick someone that none of us know about."
