Fox News talking head and MAGA Republican President Donald Trump loyalist Jesse Watters stated on Fox News' The Five that he wants Democrats to win the House of Representatives in the midterm elections.
While plenty of people share that sentiment—as well as wanting Democrats to win in the Senate—it's probably not for the same reason Watters gave.
During Friday's edition of The Five, Watters said:
"I want to see the Democrats take back the House because I want to see my guy Pete Hegseth in front of the House Oversight Committee, just punching them in the face."
"We need something to cover."

Watters added:
"I want to see Don[ald Trump] Jr. up there, I want to see [Stephen] Miller up there just giving it to these guys."
"Do you think these guys will take the fifth like Fauci? I hope not."

People questioned if a Trump sycophant like Watters would really say he hoped Democrats would hand the POTUS a loss in November.

But they did agree that Democrats should win the House majority and subpoena members of the Trump administration, or do even more.

While Watters may be excited about the prospect of Republicans losing their majority in the House of Representatives, GOP Speaker Mike Johnson doesn't share his enthusiasm. Johnson, a self-described Christian nationalist, has been preaching gloom and doom if Democrats win and shift the balance of power.
Republican Vice President JD Vance also doesn't want to face a Democratic majority in the House and Senate in January when newly elected Senators and Representatives are sworn in.
In a recent podcast appearance, Vance begged voters to give the GOP another chance. Less than a week later, Vance tried to convince voters that everything was still Democratic President Joe Biden's fault, saying voters needed to not "give power to the crazy people who started these problems in the first place."
Neither message from the unpopular VP landed well with the public, getting mostly mockery in response.
