Richard Lewis Says Poignant Farewell In Behind-The-Scenes Video From 'Curb' Finale

The actor, who died of a heart attack in February, gave a heartfelt speech after the finale of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' was wrapped in a sweet behind-the-scenes video.

As the beloved comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm came to an end, Richard Lewis expressed his sincere gratitude for being a part of it in an emotional moment caught behind the scenes.

Following the show's conclusion, a video of Lewis praising his coworkers for the amazing experience was posted on HBO Max.


Lewis thanked show creator Larry David, as well as the other members of the cast and crew. He expressed affection and gratitude to everyone involved, describing working on Curb as the best experience of his career.

“Larry David has treated me like a god, and all of you have, and this is the greatest experience of my career, and I love each and every one of you. I’m honored to be working with arguably the greatest sitcom writer in the last two centuries.”

David had known Lewis for his whole life. Lewis fought Parkinson's disease and died earlier this year at the age of 76. He was dedicated to playing a fictionalized version of himself on Curb despite his health issues.

Fans and actors of the show were devastated by his passing.

The behind-the-scenes video recorded a moving moment in television history. The last scene to be filmed, it was an emotional farewell to the adored comedy series, with Lewis, David, and the main cast in attendance.


Many people commented on the clip, saying how glad they were that Lewis was part of it.
