Ticketing police officers for their minor infractions is one of those TikTok trends that has the potential to go really, really, poorly.

But when it goes well—though not necessarily as planned as you'll see later—people tend to love the encounters.

TikTok user @devonwilldoit posted video showing his perspective during his attempt to ticket an officer.

In the clip, we see Devon walk up to an officer's vehicle and knock on it to hand the officer a handwritten parking ticket. The officer's cruiser is parked across the sidewalk, an offense dubbed "Janky Parking" by Devon.

As the officer rolls down his window, Devon launches into his speech:

"Evening Officer, do you know why I stopped you today? Illegal parking. Citizens arrest. Oh how the turn tables have turned!"

The officer takes the "ticket" from Devon, scans it and responds by playfully roasting Devon into oblivion.

He sighs "Oh... this is a disaster" and begins pointing out the spelling errors.

Devon excuses them as a product of his dyslexia.

The officer continues, pointing out Devon has written the fee incorrectly—placing the dollar sign after the numbers rather than before. At this point, he pulls a pen from his pocket as if to start making corrections on the ticket and asks who Devon's English teacher is.

Devon gives up his teachers name and the officer dryly, but playfully, responds:

"I'm gonna go pay her a visit."

Devon laughs "goddamnit!" before ending the video.

They saw a wholesome moment.

That set off red flags for some folks.

People pointed out this prank isn't something everyone could get away with.

Kellyanne Conway Just Tried To Claim Trump's Divisive Speech On The National Mall Was Actually 'Inclusive'—And The Delusion Is Real

President Donald Trump's former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway was criticized after she praised his speech on the National Mall on Wednesday night by claiming on Fox News that Trump extended an "olive branch" to people who didn't vote for him.

Trump's remarks themselves resembled a campaign rally more than the unifying and "inclusive" celebration organizers had promised. Within minutes of taking the stage, he criticized former President Joe Biden without mentioning him by name, declaring that the United States had recently been "a dead country" before claiming it had become "the hottest country anywhere in the world."
