MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, had to tap-dance around the truth to try to save face when a reporter asked for the Trump administration's response to Pope Leo's rebuke.
Leavitt, a self-proclaimed devout Catholic, responded:
"I would reject there was inhumane treatment of illegal immigrants in the United States under this administration."
Then, pulling a page from her boss' playbook, Leavitt blamed Democratic President Joe Biden.
"There was significant inhumane treatment of illegal immigrants in the previous administration."

Leavitt added:
"This administration is trying to enforce our nation’s laws in the most humane way possible, and we are upholding the law. We are doing that on behalf of the people of our country who live here."
But outside the MAGAsphere, no one was buying what Leavitt was selling.

Pope Leo XIV, a native of Chicago, Illinois, began his papacy in conflict with the Trump administration and the MAGA minions after news spread he had, while still a Cardinal, shared an article critical of Vice President JD Vance's interpretation of Christian love.
Raichik has made a name for herself by using "Libs of TikTok" to post hostile, mocking, or derogatory commentary about LGBTQ+ people and promotes harassment against teachers, medical providers and children's hospitals
In one post, she claimed that the series The Babysitters Club "pushes TRANSGENDERISM on KIDS, shames characters for "misgendering" and demands hospital staff refer to and treat a boy as a girl."
In another, Raichik claimed the streaming giant is going to "celebrate that the percentage of racially underrepresented directors and lead characters has been growing significantly over the past few years," claiming the company "openly boasts about discriminating against White people" in its inclusion and diversity report.
Musk retweeted both of Raichik's messages.

Musk also shared an image portraying Netflix as a Trojan horse carrying the “transgender woke agenda,” which is depicted as tiny warriors with spears and shields. In the analogy, “your kids” are cast as the unsuspecting Trojans.
He added:
"Cancel Netflix for the health of your kids."

Of course, angry conservatives have taken the bait.
But others were quick to mock Musk and the conservative outrage.
Musk has gone off the deep end with the blatant transphobia the last few years and has been estranged from his daughter Vivian Wilson since 2022, following his refusal to accept her transition. In recent months, she has gained a significant following on Threads, where she frequently attracts media attention by criticizing Musk’s actions.
Last year, Musk claimed that Wilson was "not a girl" and was figuratively "dead," while alleging that he had been "tricked" into authorizing trans-related medical treatment for her when she was 16.
In response, Wilson stated that Musk wasn’t tricked and that, despite his initial hesitation, he knew exactly what he was doing when he consented to her treatment, which required approval from both parents.
Unless, of course, it's a good shock.

The full video, from March, was part of Representative Jayapal's Resistance Lab YouTube series.
According to The Arizona Mirror, their review of the entire hour-long video made it clear Representative Jayapal made no calls to violence nor advocated for overthrowing the government. Instead, the video focused on “non-violent resistance” to Trump and advising people on how. And a six-month-old video is hardly "BREAKING" news.
In a comment on the X post by TPO, Gillette—using his official legislative account—wrote:
"Until people like this, that advocate for the overthrow of the American government are tried convicted and hanged.. it will continue."
Gillette may have no qualms about his post, but even Elon Musk's platform flagged it and limited its reach.

At some point, Gillette got tired of the ratio and crawled back under his rock.
But people continued to call him out for his violent rhetoric.
Representative Jayapal shared her official statement on Instagram, captioned:

"Two days ago, an elected member of the Arizona State House of Representatives called for me and those who advocate for nonviolent resistance training to be 'tried, convicted and hanged'."

"It is a call to violence designed to suppress nonviolent democratic organizing against authoritarianism and further polarize the American public for political gain. Sadly, it makes the world a more dangerous place for each of us."
Trump's Attorney General, Pam Bondi, declared her Justice Department would go after anyone whose hate speech called for violence after Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was killed in another act of senseless gun violence.
Unsurprisingly, the GOP and Bondi have been silent ever since Gillette issued his online call for violence against Democratic Representative Jayapal.
