Donald Trump Just Claimed the 'African-American Community' Has Called Him to Praise the Job He's Doing, and People Can Not

Donald Trump Just Claimed the 'African-American Community' Has Called Him to Praise the Job He's Doing, and People Can Not
MSNBC News

We find that hard to believe.

From telling four Democratic congresswomen of color to "go back" to their countries to attacking Congressman Elijah Cummings (D-MD), a civil rights activist since the 1960s, President Donald Trump's racist tweets are disturbing Americans across the country.

Trump is currently on a days-long Twitter tirade against Cummings, calling him a "racist" and maligning his majority-black district in Baltimore, Maryland. The president called Baltimore "rat and rodent infested," claiming that "no human being would want to live there."

The communities of Baltimore and those supporting the city were quick to speak out against Trump's rhetoric, but Trump apparently didn't get the news.

While speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Trump claimed that the African American community called to thank him.

Yup. The whole community.

Watch below:

In case it wasn't obvious, this is completely false.

A recent Quinnipiac poll revealed that 80% of black Americans surveyed believe that Donald Trump is a racist.

That same poll goes on to reveal that 66% of black Americans believe Democrats should launch impeachment proceedings and 67% of black Americans believe Trump's immigration policies are motivated by racist beliefs.

It went on to reveal that 89% of black Americans "definitely" won't vote for Trump in 2020.

What's more, the African American community isn't a monolith, as Trump seems to believe.

People had theories as to whom Trump considers to be the African-American community.

Several of the community's members missed the conference call Trump must have been referring to.

Actions speak louder than words.

Yikes.

Dem Rep. Hilariously Trolls Trump Official For Having No Idea How Solar Power Works In Viral Clip

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum was trolled by California Democratic Representative Jared Huffman after he, testifying before the House Natural Resources Committee, seemed to think solar panels are unreliable because they don't work when the sun goes down.

The sun produces heat and light through solar, or electromagnetic, radiation. Solar energy technologies capture that radiation and convert it into usable power. The two primary forms of solar technology are photovoltaics (PV) and concentrating solar-thermal power (CSP).
