The Indiana chapter of Moms For Liberty finally issued an 'apology' for including Adolph Hitler quote about 'youth' in its debut newsletter after initially trying to provide 'context' for the quote.

The Hamilton County, Indiana chapter of Moms for Liberty–a national organization the Southern Poverty Law Center just designated as an “anti-government extremist” group–apologized for quoting Adolph Hitler in its latest newsletter, The Parent Brigade.

The first-ever newsletter published on Wednesday featured a masthead quote used by the Nazi dictator at a rally in 1935.

The Moms for Liberty newsletter read:

"'He alone, who OWNS the youth, GAINS the future.' Adolph Hitler"

Underneath Hitler's quote was another headline written by Moms for Liberty national co-founders Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich.

"Moms for Liberty will not be intimidated by hate groups!"

Here is a screenshot of the published newsletter's front page which was posted at 4:18 p.m.

The far-right hate group quartered in Florida is known for getting public schools to ban books mentioning LGBTQ+ rights, racism, civil rights and so-called critical race theory–all of which Moms for Liberty finds offensive.

The Indiana group was forced to apologize the following day for quoting Hitler after backlash from local politicians and candidates for elected offices.

Chapter Chairwoman of Moms for Liberty Paige Miller eventually issued a statement on the group's Facebook page.

"We condemn Adolf Hitler's actions and his dark place in human history."
"We should not have quoted him in our newsletter and express our deepest apology."

Social media users weren't buying it.

After the Indianapolis Star reported on the story, The Parent Brigade's front page was initially updated with some "context" for the Hitler quote.

It read:

"The quote from a horrific leader should put parents on alert."
"If the government has control over our children today, they control our country's future."
"We The People must be vigilant and protect children from an overreaching government."

The June issue of The Parent Brigade was updated at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday night, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Again, Twitter scoffed at the group's attempt at damage control.

According to USA Today, Moms for Liberty is now among 12 parental organizations added to the SPLC's list of hate groups in a recently released annual report.

SPLC Intelligence Project Director Susan Corke explained:

"Moms for Liberty and the other organizations are being designated as 'anti-government extremist groups,' based on longstanding criteria."

Vice News indicated a number of Moms for Liberty chapters have forged ties with:

"...extremist groups like the Proud Boys, Three Percenters, sovereign citizen groups, QAnon conspiracist, Christian nationalists, and in one case, with the founder of the AK-47-worshiping Rod of Iron Ministries church in Pennsylvania."

Fox News Guest Has Blunt Reminder About Trump After Sean Hannity Asks About Biden's 'Cognitive Decline'

Fox News personality Sean Hannity was widely mocked after guest commentator Stephanie Miller gave him more than he bargained for with her response to his question about when she first noticed former President Joe Biden's "cognitive decline."

President Donald Trump and Republicans have long questioned Biden's cognitive fitness for office to draw attention from Trump's own gaffes. Earlier this week, Trump made headlines for claiming "no one knows what magnets are" during an Oval Office exchange. He has also continued to attract attention for falling asleep during events.
