The legendary rocker shared on Instagram that she's taking the rest of the year off to recover after an operation discovered cancer, but plans to be back in 2025.

Heart just announced they will be postponing their Royal Flush Tour "due to medical reasons" as Ann Willson revealed she was diagnosed with cancer.

The band made the announcement via social media, encouraging fans to "hold on to their tickets" as they plan to reschedule the postponed shows.

Wilson herself took to Instagram, as well, updating fans on her health and revealing her cancer diagnosis.

On July 2, the legendary rocker shared:

“Dear friends, I recently underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous."
“The operation was successful & I’m feeling great but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy & I've decided to do it.”

She continued that doctors instructed her to “take the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover."

Wilson then expressed her hopes to be performing again next year.

“To the ticket buyers, I really do wish we could do these gigs. Please know that I absolutely plan to be back on stage in 2025."
“My team is getting those details sorted & we’ll let you know the plan as soon as we can.”

The singer finished her post:

“This is merely a pause. I’ve much more to sing."
“Love, Ann Wilson."
"Respectfully, this is the last public statement I’d like to make on the matter.”

Fans offered their support in the comments.

Many said they were sad to miss the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee's performance, but Wilson should put her health and well-being first.

In late May, Wilson announced the cancellation of Heart performances in Europe stating she would be “undergo[ing] a time-sensitive but routine medical procedure."

She added in the caption:

"I’m okay! Please don’t worry."
"I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It’s certainly an inconvenience for me."
"Love & respect always, Ann"

We're sending our love.

Robot Chases Wild Boars Out Of Polish Neighborhood Before Waving Goodbye In Surreal Viral Video

Robots have received a lot of attention in the media lately, particularly for situations like the delivery robot that circled around a houseless man without a second thought, reminding us of its lack of humanity and empathy.

But a humanoid robot in Warsaw, Poland, made headlines for a much different reason this week, protecting a neighborhood from a pack of wild boars that had wandered into the community.

'Supernanny' Star Jo Frost Warns Of Impact Of Social Media On Kids In Impassioned Plea For UK Ban

At the beginning of 2026, the United Kingdom's House of Lords supported a proposal to prohibit those under 16 from access to social media to include the sites Facebook, X, TikTok, and Instagram. Any such ban would be introduced as an amendment to the government's schools bill.

Childcare author and television personality Jo Frost has now shared her opinion on the proposal. Ironically, on Instagram on Tuesday, Frost made an appeal to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to ban social media for children under 16.
