The Severance star opened up to The Wall Street Journal about his lack of technology usage—and fans are kinda here for it.

Actor Christopher Walken has been living the dream of anyone who has ever been confronted with an inbox full of work on their phone and wished to throw it into the ocean.

The actor, who currently stars in Severance, has never 'emailed' anyone or even owned a cell phone.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Walken confirmed what had been circulating since 2020: he basically lives in a completely other decade, technology-wise.

“I don’t have technology. I only have a satellite dish on my house. So I’ve seen ‘Severance’ on DVDs that they’re good enough to send me. I don’t have a cell phone. I’ve never emailed or, what do you call it, Twittered.”

Many people envied Walken's apparent freedom from technology.

Some folks were a bit more tongue-in-cheek in their commentary.

In this day and age, however...

Some folks were still very tempted by the idea.

This probably wouldn't happen with a Gen X or younger actor.

Walken earned an Emmy nomination for his work in the first season of Severance, as well as being in the blockbuster Dune series.

The saying, 'Can't see the forest for the trees' refers to a common inability to realize things about a situation a person is in while that person is in the thick of it. It's a similar idea to the saying 'hindsight is 20/20' which means reflection on past circumstances usually often more clarity than in the moment.
