The 76-year-old music and Hollywood icon confirmed she's dating 36-year-old music executive Alexander Edwards.

Obviously, Cher can do whatever she wants. This is a fact and is not up for discussion.

Sadly, some apparently missed the memo, as they are criticizing the legend for having the audacity to date a younger man, 36-year-old music executive Alexander Edwards.

Not known for ever holding her tongue, Cher addressed the backlash on Twitter with the perfect response, seen below.

Cher wrote:

"I'm Not Defending us. Haters are Gonna Hate…Doesn' [sic] Matter That and Not Bothering Anyone."

The controversy began after Cher confirmed on Twitter over the weekend the pair are together after they were previously spotted out and about in West Hollywood.

Cher's announcement was direct as usual.

She simply tweeted a photo of Edwards, who works at Def Jam Records, along with his name and a heart emoji.

But that was more than enough for people to start putting in their two cents about the music and film icon's personal life.

Several fans expressed concerns over what Edwards' intentions might be, with many implying he might be attempting to take advantage of her Hollywood connections or her vast personal fortune.

Cher took on some of the naysayers by responding to their tweets.

To one, she replied:

"As we All Know …I WASNT BORN YESTERDAY,& What I Know For Sure…There Are No Guarantees."
"Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance.I’ve Always Taken Chances…It’s WHO I Am"

There's certainly no denying that.

But a response she gave to a supportive fan perhaps sums it up best.

"Love doesn't know math," Cher wrote in response.

Many applauded Cher's response to those who were critical of the new relationship, especially since men in Hollywood frequently date much younger women without any controversy.

But not everyone was buying Cher's new romance.

Cher has dated younger men earlier in her career, including actor Val Kilmer in the 1980s when he was in his early 20s and she in her mid-30s.

When she was 40, she also dated 22-year-old then-aspiring actor Rob Camilletti, who came to be known as "Bagel Boy" as he was working in a bagel shop when he and Cher began their relationship in the mid-80s.

Trump Administration Dragged After U.S. Military Shoots Down One Of Our Own Drones Over Texas

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has long emphasized the "warrior ethos" he expects from the U.S. military but now his leadership (to say nothing of the Trump administration as a whole) is facing criticism after military personnel shot down a drone operated by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) on Thursday in Texas in yet another display of incompetence.

Lawmakers said that the military used a laser to down a CBP drone at Fort Hancock, leading the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to expand flight restrictions near El Paso, Texas. The reason for the laser use remains unclear, but it was the second such deployment in the area in two weeks, despite rules requiring coordination with aviation regulators.
