A vocal coach from England said he was "gobsmacked" after realizing global pop sensation Billie Eilish took an instructional suggestion from one of his videos and performed a TikTok duet with him.

Pianist Sheridan Coldstream is a 58-year-old TikToker who started his page on the platform after one of his teenage students encouraged him.

Although he accompanies aspiring vocalists on the piano to duet with him on his page, he never thought the Grammy-award-winning singer would ever be a participant–let alone stumble onto his page.

On July 2, Eilish posted a video of herself dueting to Coldstream after having headlined a performance at the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England.

You can see the clip of Eilish performing one of her songs, "Listen Before I Go," as part of a duet with Coldstream, here.

In his original clip, Coldstream suggested a part of the song where Eilish sings in her lower vocal register could be sung up an octave for students struggling with the low notes.

In a BBC interview, Coldstream explained:

“There’s a bit in the song where she normally goes down."

When he saw Eilish's video in which she performed to his suggestion, he became emotional.

"I suggested that some singers may want to take it higher and she did exactly that, so I was gobsmacked."
"It was immensely exciting and I found the whole thing very moving; it made me tear up several times.”

He told his daughter, who was in her bedroom at the time, about his exciting discovery.

"I said, ‘Guess what? You know that Billie Eilish duet I uploaded?’ She went, ‘Yes yes.’ I wanted maximum impact on this."
"And she said, ‘What, what?’ I said, ‘Guess who’s duetted it?’ ‘I don’t know, dad!’ "
"I said, ‘Billie Eilish,’ and her response was words I can’t really repeat on TV.”
