'Roseanne' 2018: Watch the First Trailer Here!

Fans of the '90s sitcom Roseanne have been patiently awaiting the series’ return on March 27, 2018. Since its reveal over a year ago, the series return has been teased with looks at the aged Conner family, including the thought-to-be-dead Dan Conner. Through images and snippets of the show and behind-the-scenes, we’ve caught glimpses of the 2018 production. In a commercial break during the Oscars, the public got its first real look at the show in action.

The longer trailer showcased the Conner family embracing the world and politics beyond Lanford, IL, through the same comedic flair as they did in the '90s. During the trailer (seen below), we get a sense that little has changed within the Conner family. Roseanne is still the tough-loving matriarch surrounded by her goofy husband and ever-dependent family.

We also get a brief glimpse at the extended family, including Darlene’s daughter, played by Shameless star Emma Kenney; Ames McNamara as Becky’s son, Mark; Lauri Metcalf as Jackie; Estelle Parsons as Beverly. The show will likely address the tragic loss of Glenn Quinn, who portrayed Mark in the original series.

Rejoining the Roseanne cast but absent from the premiere trailer include Johnny Galecki as David and Sandra Bernhard as Nancy.

According to ABC, the first three episode titles are:

  • "Twenty Years to Life"
  • "Dress to Impress"
  • "Netflix & Pill"

If “Netflix & Pill” is any indication, the series will tackle modern concepts and controversies in the same crass way the original Roseanne was known for. Other topics that will likely be touched on include President Trump, gender identity, and other social movements popularized over the past few years.

Roseanne will return on March 27 at 8 pm EST in an hour-long premiere on ABC. The series will continue on April 3 in its 8 pm EST half-hour time slot.

Democratic Senator Trolls Trump With Hilariously Petty Idea For What To Name Trump's Ballroom When He Leaves Office

Arizona Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego floated the idea to name the new White House ballroom after former President Barack Obama once President Donald Trump leaves office, pointing out it would incense the notoriously thin-skinned president.

Trump recently ordered the demolition of the entire East Wing to make way for a 90,000 square-foot ballroom that will dwarf the size of the White House itself, sparking alarm from historical preservationists and the public alike.
