Dunkin' Donuts Open on Presidents Day 2018

If your coffee buzz is giving you an itch to shop, you'll be happy to hear that most department stores will be open on Presidents' Day. Many offer great Presidents' Day sales. Fortune reports that Best Buy is offering a 35% discount on most major appliances and free shipping on items over $399.

Overstock is also offering a great deal with up to 70% off. Target, too, will be having great deals for online users. Fortune recommends using the code 'GEORGE' to get 30% off home items.

Presidents' Day History

Presidents Day honors past and current presidents of the US. The holiday is also referred to as Washington's Birthday and pays homage to the first President's life and work. According to Time and Date, some states emphasize celebrating Abe Lincoln. His birthday was not far from Washington's.

Most businesses (including retail stores) are open as usual on President's Day. Federal banks and many local banks will be closed. USPS will not deliver mail, but UPS and FedEx will operate on normal schedules.
