During the press tour for Marvel's upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, two of the main stars honored the much-beloved film, Clueless.

The duo was none other than actresses Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson. Portman will be reprising her role as Thor's, played by Chris Hemsworth, love interest, as well as becoming the latest female rendition of Thor, for which she will be called "Mighty Thor." Thompson will reprise her role as Valkyrie, but now instead of being a warrior, she will be King.

During their tour together, Portman and Thompson appeared as two key characters from Clueless, much to everyone's delight.

Portman dressed as Cher Horowitz in her yellow and black plaid suit and black boots, alongside Thompson, who dressed as her best friend, Dionne Davenport, in a layered black and white top and puffy black skirt.

Portman shared a photo of them together on Instagram, in a post that quickly garnered nearly 400-thousand likes.

For those who are less familiar with Clueless, here's a side-by-side comparison of the duos.

Fans of Thor and Clueless alike were totally stoked by this throwback.

While it is likely that Thompson and Portman coordinated their outfits, it's a little unclear why they chose Clueless characters for a Marvel event.

Thor: Love and Thunder would not be the first film in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) franchise to feature pop culture references, like characters, music, and other films. Perhaps the film is referenced in some way in Thor.

But Thor: Love and Thunder was also described by Director Taika Waititi as a "midlife crisis" film, which might provide a little bit more of a "clue."

Waititi explained:

"Ragnarok felt a bit like a party. It was quite festive. This one is still fun, and it's got moments of being over the top, but thematically, it's about something a bit deeper than the last film."
"It's not a serious film, and it's not a drama, but we do deal with ideas that I think a lot of humans deal with, universal themes about love and loss and our place in the world."
"Everyone sort of asks this question in the film: What is your purpose? What is the reason that you're a hero, and what do you do when you have these powers?"
"It's sort of like a midlife crisis film, really. That's the question we ask everyone: Are we doing the right thing, and are we doing all we can in the world?"
"I think right now, while the world is still healing from this pandemic, it's a good question to ask. It's like, well, are we doing enough to look after each other and to look after ourselves?"

So perhaps, these Clueless renditions were a cheeky representation of how clueless we all are at some point in our lives while we're figuring out who we are and who we want to be.

Vivek Ramaswamy Dragged After Showing Off His Awkward Baseball Swing In Cringey Batting Cage Campaign Video

Billionaire former Republican presidential and current Ohio GOP gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's athletic prowess is being derided online after his campaign posted a video of him hitting baseballs in a batting cage on Instagram and TikTok on Tuesday.

The ribbing got so bad that the Ramaswamy campaign pulled the video off Instagram, leaving up only a similar one from June in which he wields a tennis racket. Unfortunately for them, plenty of people had already made and shared copies across social media where the merciless mockery continued.
