Jimmy Kimmel Just Revived His Infamous Post-Halloween Candy Prank—And Those Poor Kids

After taking a break during the pandemic, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' officially brought back their divisive prank in which parents pretend to have eaten all of their kids' Halloween candy.

It's baaaaaack.

After what seems like forever (but really only 2 years), the public once again gets to witness parents break their children's precious hearts on national television. Yes, Jimmy Kimmel has revived his annual Halloween candy prank in which - on the day after Halloween - parents tell their children that they ate all of their Halloween candy... which is met with award-worthy pint-sized theatrics.

Though Kimmel did not hold this annual tradition at the height of the pandemic, he revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that parents continued to prank their children.

You can watch the much-anticipated "I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy 2022" compilation below, which is captioned:

"People love this so much that the last two years we didn't even ask anyone to do it, but hundreds of families did it anyway."
"So we gave up. We did it again."

Unfortunately for children, many are ecstatic the prank is back.

Viewers also had a lot to say about the children's reactions.

Many still think it's a cruel segment on the show.

That criticism is also an annual tradition for this prank.

In his defense, Kimmel did try to justify the segment.

"By the way, I do want to say for the record, kids cry about everything."

At the end of the video, Kimmel is heard saying:

"Sorry , kids. We'll make it up to you next year."

Somehow we doubt that makes them feel better now.
