Amidst the whirlwind of sweeping changes that have occurred in our country the past few weeks, a most unlikely story captured all of Twitter's attention yesterday. A rumored romance between actress Jane Krakowski and MyPillow CEO—and Donald Trump confidante—Mike Lindell made the news cycle.

Yes, you read that correctly, and no, it's not a discarded plot idea for Krakowski's 30 Rock character Jenna Maroney. This deeply weird revelation appeared in The Daily Mail yesterday, and had pretty much the entire internet shrieking in horror.

Now, Krakowski is breaking her silence on the supposed romance, and doing so in the most hilarious way possible.

Thank God...

Krakowski issued a statement via her publicist yesterday addressing the rumor with her trademark wit.

"Jane has never met Mr. Lindell. She is not and has never been in any relationship with him, romantic or otherwise."
"She is, however, in full fledged fantasy relationships with Brad Pitt, Rege-Jean Page and Kermit the Frog and welcomes any and all coverage on those."

Phew!

Honestly, Brad Pitt and Jane Krakowski would be a thrilling Hollywood power couple, so someone should get that rumor going ASAP just to make up for the horror of imagining Krakowski and Lindell... well, involved, if you will.

The Daily Mail's story alleged that Krakowski and Lindell had a "secret" and stormy nine-month romance following Lindell reportedly wooing her for over a year. The tabloid's anonymous source reported that the couple frequently fought, and that Krakowski's friends were as baffled by the relationship as the rest of us were.

For his part, Lindell also denies the rumors—and even more forcefully than Krakowski.

As he put it to The Daily Mail:

"I have never even heard of Jane Krakowski???

And, unlike Krakowski, Lindell—who should be flattered by the rumor—has little sense of humor about it.

He told The Daily Beast that his "lawyers are going after" The Daily Mail.

Despite the denials, it doesn't seem Twitter is likely to forget this story any time soon if the response is any gauge.

As of this writing, Brad Pitt, Rege-Jean Page and Kermit the Frog have yet to respond to Krakowski's fantasy relationship claims.

Beaten DC Cop Coughs NSFW Message At MAGA Rep. For Blaming Jan. 6 On Capitol Leadership

Michael Fanone—who worked for the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department for 20 years until he sustained serious and life-threatening injuries during the January 6 insurrection—didn't take kindly to Texas Republican Representative Troy Nehls trying to blame the attack on the "U.S. Capitol leadership team" instead of President Donald Trump.

Nehls spoke during a hearing where Jack Smith, the former special prosecutor who led two failed prosecutions against Trump for inciting the insurrection, defended the integrity of his investigation.
