Flavor Flav Gifted Billie Eilish Her Own Barbie-Themed Clock Necklace After The Oscars

The rapper gifted the two-time Oscar winner her very own custom Barbie-themed clock necklace after her historic wins—and Eilish's reaction says it all.

Billie Eilish just won her second Best Original Song Academy Award on Sunday night, and she became the youngest person ever to earn the distinction of having two Oscars.

But her crowning achievement arrived in a timely fashion after the ceremony when rapper Flavor Flav bestowed Eilish with the coveted clock necklace with a tailor-made twist.


The oversized custom medallion was themed to the female empowerment fantasy romp Barbie, which was up for Best Picture. Eilish and her brother and producer Finneas won the statuette for the song "What Was I Made For?" which was written for the film.

Little did Eilish know another surprise was in store for her after she became a two-time Oscar winner.

At the Vanity Fair after party, Jon Batiste, and Cynthia Erivo were spotted huddled around Flav unveiling Eilish's gift.

When it was revealed, the singer/songwriter screamed for joy and preserved the moment by photographing the rapper wearing his own matching clock necklace and holding the other with her name on it.

The twinsies then hugged each other.

Entertainment Tonight got an even better photo, one of Eilish looking overjoyed and holding up the large accessory, with Flav beside her, delighted at the moment.

Eilish couldn't contain herself. Neither could we.

Before the 96th Oscars ceremony, Flav's favorite jeweler ROCK’N STONES teased an image of two Barbie clock necklaces with one that had "Flavor Flav" written on the clock face, next to another that was blurred out.

The jeweler shared the photo on Instagram story, writing:

“Who is going to be twinning with @FLAVORFLAVOFFICIAL TONIGHT?!?”

Flavor Fav's signature-look clock necklaces started as an inside joke between friends, who teased the rapper for using a stopwatch to make sure sessions would end on time, if not early.

His peers jokingly suggested he wear an actual clock around his neck to ensure he can always keep track of time. Flav accepted the challenge and has since incorporated it into his signature style.

He explained in an MTV interview:

“Before I started out wearing these clocks, we started off with little stopwatches, and one day I just wanted to do something out of the ordinary."

The "Rebel Without a Pause" rapper waxed philosophic on time, saying:

“The reason why I wear this clock is because it represents time being the most important element in our life."
“Time can’t afford to be wasted, but not only that, but God only gave us one life."
"Each minute we live, we got to live each second to our best value. Time brought us up in here, and time can also take us out.”
