An ICE agent has sparked outrage outline after he stomped on and kicked a candle at the makeshift memorial for Renee Nicole Good Wednesday night after she was fatally shot by another ICE agent.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin claimed Good “weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them.” But Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey pushed back against this narrative considering witnesses described seeing Good in the vehicle trying to flee officers when she was shot.

Good's killing has sparked massive protests in Minneapolis in light of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's claim that ICE agents were attempting to remove an ICE vehicle that had gotten stuck in the snow, alleging that "a mob of agitators that were harassing them all day began blocking them in."

Protesters have held vigils in Good's honor and memorials have also popped up on the city streets—and one of those memorials was disrespected by an unidentified ICE agent who was caught on camera stomping on and kicking a candle.

A protester challenged the agent, saying:

"Really, punk? That's what you're going to f**king do? Do you know what that's for? What is that for?"

The agent only repeated the words "Back up" and shoved the man, responding with "I don't give a f**k" when pressed further, to which the protester said:

"You don't give a f**k about her? This is why we're here!"

You can watch what happened in the video below.

The video quickly went viral, further angering the public as more attention has been drawn to ICE's abuses.

The ICE agent involved in the fatal shooting of Good has been identified as Jonathan E. Ross, according to court records that closely align with the circumstances of a June 2025 incident in Bloomington, Minnesota, referenced by Noem and Vice President JD Vance.

Ross, a Minneapolis resident, is a 10-year veteran of ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations special response team. Federal authorities have declined to publicly name the agent involved, but The Minneapolis Star Tribune first reported Ross’s identity on Thursday.
