Charlize Theron set the record straight in response to rumors she's had work done on her face in an interview with Allure.

The 48-year-old South African actress, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for the 2003 movie Monster, told the magazine:

"My face is changing, and I love that my face is changing and aging."
"But people think I had a facelift. They’re like, ‘What did she do to her face?’"
"I’m like, ‘B*tch, I’m just aging!"

She added:

"It doesn’t mean I got bad plastic surgery. This is just what happens."

She also touched on loathing sexist double standards in Hollywood.

“I’ve always had issues with the fact that men kind of age like fine wines and women like cut flowers," said the model and spokeswoman for Dior’s J’Adore perfume line.

Theron continued:

"I despise that concept and I want to fight against it, but I also think women want to age in a way that feels right to them.”
"I think we need to be a little bit more empathetic to how we all go through our journey."
"My journey of having to see my face on a billboard is quite funny now."

Theron recalled a time when it was easier for her to physically adapt to and recover from different body sizes required by roles she played, and how all that changed with age.

“I will never, ever do a movie again and say, ‘Yeah, I’ll gain 40 pounds.’ I will never do it again because you can’t take it off."
“When I was 27, I did 'Monster.' I lost 30 pounds, like, overnight. I missed three meals and I was back to my normal weight."
"Then I did it at 43 for 'Tully,' and I remember a year into trying to lose the weight, I called my doctor and I said, ‘I think I’m dying because I cannot lose this weight.’"
"And he was like, ‘You’re over 40. Calm down. Your metabolism is not what it was.’"
"Nobody wants to hear that.”

Fans commented on her natural beauty and expressed their love for her—just the way she is.

Theron also pointed out that her two adopted daughters “have no concept of what age is like.”

In March 2012, she adopted her first child, Jackson, who at seven identified as a transgender girl.

Three years later, the actress adopted a second child, a Black daughter born in the U.S., named August.

Theron said of them:

“They see somebody, they like what they’re wearing, or they think they’re pretty and they don’t really know if she’s in her 20s or she’s in her 60s."
"It’s so great. I love that. I wish we could just maintain that.”

Theron is currently starring as cyberterrorist Cypher in Fast X, the sequel to F9 and the tenth main installment in the Fast & Furious franchise.

Meghan McCain Speaks Out After Video Of Her Sparks Cruel Comments From Body-Shaming Trolls

When it comes to sensitive subjects, some people make derogatory comments instead of having a hard conversation, either to pivot the focus or to try to feel superior.

In a podcast episode from just over a week ago, "Mamdani's Talent Knows No Limitations," Meghan McCain openly praised New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and said plainly that Republicans "would be in trouble" and "should be scared" if the possibility were to ever arise for him to be able to run for President.
