Donald Trump Appears to Agree With Rally Crowd After They Start Chanting 'Lock Her Up' About Nancy Pelosi

Donald Trump Appears to Agree With Rally Crowd After They Start Chanting 'Lock Her Up' About Nancy Pelosi
C-SPAN 3

President Donald Trump held a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire on the eve of the state's crucial Democratic primary.

It wasn't a surprise that the crowd began cheering "Lock her up"—a phrase typically directed at Trump's 2016 opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton—but this time the chants were directed at a different target.

Trump accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) of mumbling angrily during his State of the Union address last week. The crowd called upon him to lock her up—a cheer he appeared to endorse with a thumbs up.

Watch below.

Pelosi has broken no laws. The impeachment inquiry she announced in September and the proceedings in the House after it were supported by the Constitution. Some claimed Pelosi broke a law by tearing up the President's speech immediately following the address, but those claims are baseless.

The only "law" Pelosi broke was dissenting against Donald Trump, which apparently to Trump's supporters, merits incarceration.

That said more about Trump and his supporters than about Pelosi.

A number of Trump's allies have been indicted or incarcerated. Former Trump campaign advisor, Roger Stone, is awaiting sentencing at this very moment.
