New GOP Bill Seeks To Make Trump's Birthday A Federal Holiday—And Critics Are Livid

A new bill introduced by Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney is aiming to make June 14, which is currently Flag Day, "Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day."

If Republicans have their way, Donald Trump's birthday will become a national holiday, because of course it will. And people are understandably furious about it.

If it's not obvious by now, Donald Trump and everyone around him are basically trolls.

In the latest "I can't believe this is real life" news, Republican New York Representative Claudia Tenney's is now attempting to change the law in order to “designate Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day as a legal public holiday."

Flag Day, which is June 14, was adopted in 1777 to commemorate the day the American Flag became the official standard for the country. It is also Donald Trump's birthday.

It's frankly surprising he'd even be willing to share the holiday, but we all contain multitudes.

In a press release, Tenney said the day should become a joint holiday to honor Trump because:

“As both our 45th and 47th President, he is the most consequential President in modern American history, leading our country at a time of great international and domestic turmoil."
“Just as George Washington’s Birthday is codified as a federal holiday, this bill will add Trump’s Birthday to this list, recognizing him as the founder of America’s Golden Age."

This certainly sounds cultish, which is fitting since MAGA basically IS a cult.

Tenney went on to drool:

“By designating Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day as a federal holiday, we can ensure President Trump’s contributions to American greatness and the importance of the American Flag are forever enshrined into law.”

But that wasn't all. Representative Tenney was either REALLY committed to the bit or is deeply mentally ill, because she also created a bizarre Valentine for Trump to commemorate her proposed legislation.

Liberals are having none of Tenney's ridiculous stunt.

Democratic Representative Hakeem Jeffries swooped in an important reminder that it's a distraction by design.

Jeffries tweeted:

" Elon Musk and his minions want access to your bank account and medical information."
"Meanwhile."
"Extreme MAGA Republicans in the House have introduced a bill to make Donald Trump’s birthday a federal holiday."

Translation: Keep paying attention to the things that actually matter.

And to that end, go call your Congressional Representatives in Washington and let them know we aren't backing down any time soon.

Hillary Clinton Just Threw Some Epic Shade At Trump Over His Push To Print $250 Bills Featuring His Portrait

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton mocked President Donald Trump following a report he approved a proposed design featuring his portrait on a new $250 bill bearing his signature, despite longstanding federal law barring living people from appearing on U.S. currency.

According to four current and former Treasury Department employees who spoke to the Post anonymously out of fear of retaliation, two political appointees at the department—U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach and senior adviser Mike Brown—repeatedly pressed Bureau of Engraving and Printing staff beginning last year to develop prototype designs for the bill.

Kathleen Thomas, 36, was pulled over in February by a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy over an alleged distracted driving violation captured on both Thomas’ phone and police body cam footage.
