TikToker @step_by__steph was stunned after a man on the street in New York City stopped her to let her know that her shoes didn't match her dress—and some viewers thought he had a point.

A woman on TikTok was left stunned after a stranger stopped her on the street in New York City to let her know that her shoes didn't quite go with her outfit.

Now, typically when someone stops you to comment on your outfit, you pause and wait for the compliment.

But this was not the case at all, so we can completely understand her shock.

TikToker @steph_by__steph shared her story on the platform after being completely floored by the interaction.

The video began zoomed in on an innocent-enough looking man decked out in athleisure and sneaks, with the text:

"That dude!"

As the creator then turned the camera on herself, she expressed her shock over what the stranger said to her.

"... I'm not even kidding, this just happened to me right now — this dude just stopped me in the middle of the street and he was like, 'Listen, I just need to tell you this but your shoes do not match your outfit.'"

Honestly, it's a nice shift from what people on the streets in New York typically shout, but we bet it's not what she was hoping to hear.

The TikToker thought the man was "just joking," but he persisted.

"I was like, 'Haha, what?'"
"Then he's like, 'No, no, no, I'm serious, shoes are too dressy and your dress is too casual.'"

And their meeting didn't get any less uncomfortable.

"I stared at him for like five seconds just in total silence and then I was like, 'Why are you talking to me?'"
"He was like, 'I don't know, I just like to give advice sometimes,' and we just stared each other in the eye for like 10 full seconds."

She added:

"I'm so disturbed."

@step_by__steph said that the man just "walked away" after their brief conversation.

She then stepped back to show off the full 'fit—a white knee-length sundress that she paired with dark patent lug sole loafers.

The TikToker finished:

"I thought it was cute."
"What did I do to him?"

Though the TikToker more than likely wanted at least a little sympathy from viewers, many agreed the kind stranger did her a solid.

Well, that's probably not what she wanted to hear.

But 59 million viewers and one bold stranger can't all be wrong.

Even Trump's NASA Director Had To Set Kim Kardashian Straight After She Said The Moon Landing 'Didn't Happen'

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy—who is also NASA's Acting Administrator—issued the weirdest fact-check ever when he corrected reality star Kim Kardashian after she revealed herself to be a moon landing conspiracist.

Conspiracy theorists have long alleged the moon landing was fabricated by NASA in what they claim was an elaborate hoax—and Kardashian certainly made it clear where she stands in a video speaking to co-star Sarah Paulson on the set of the new Hulu drama All’s Fair.

Special Olympics Fires Back At Kid Rock With Powerful Statement After He Used 'The R-Word' To Describe Halloween Costume

MAGA singer Kid Rock was called out by Loretta Claiborne, the Chief Inspiration Officer of the Special Olympics, after he used the "r-word"—a known ableist slur—to describe his Halloween costume this year.

Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was speaking with Fox News host Jesse Watters when he donned a face mask and said he'd be going as a "r**ard" for Halloween. Watters had guessed he was dressed as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who spearheaded the nation's COVID-19 pandemic response.
