The conservative actor spoke out on the 'Kyle & Jackie O' morning radio show about Smith's infamous slap, claiming that it revealed 'who he really is'—but fans aren't buying it.

Right-wing comedian and former SNL star Rob Schneider is under fire after insulting actor Will Smith for his now infamous slapping incident with Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

Schneider spoke out about the dust-up on Australian morning radio show Kyle & Jackie O.

Schneider, who is a close friend of Rock's, had nothing nice to say about Smith, claiming that the slapping incident is "who [Smith] really is," not his Hollywood persona.

Schneider told the hosts:

"Will Smith is a tw*t. Will Smith has been hiding the fact of who he really is and it was exposed that night that he's really an a**hole."
"To do that in front of all of those people to a really great, legendary comedian—who's literally the best comedian of our generation—you wouldn't have this whole wave of comedy that came after if it wasn't for Chris Rock."

Schneider went on to add:

"He's a liar. He's a complete, utter fraud, and it was exposed in that time. Will Smith is a douchebag."

He then took aim at the Oscars and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the organization that puts the awards show on, for allowing Smith to still collect his Best Actor trophy for King Richard moments after the incident.

"That's how politically correct the Academy is that they were so cowardly, because if I would've done that I would've been hauled out to prison. They were so worried about being racist."

Schneider contended that Smith too should have been "hauled out" of the ceremony because he "committed a crime."

The comedian also said he didn't buy Smith's reason for the slap—Smith has said he was defending his now-estranged wife Jada Pinkett Smith's honor after Rock made fun of her bald hairstyle, which Pinkett Smith has said was due to alopecia.

But Schneider contends that the joke Rock made was not offensive enough to warrant such a response.

Schneider's comments on Smith definitely did not go over well on social media, with many feeling Schneider is just jealous of Smith's star power.

Little Girl Hilariously Figures Out How To Get Around Mom's 'No Bad Words' Rule—And We Gotta Respect It

We've all heard the advice that when you want to start a new habit, you have to give yourself time for that habit to "stick," and you also shouldn't try to take on too many new habits at once.

While the easy answer to that logic is that it would be too much change at once and too much "new" to remember, it also could take the fun out of the new practice.
