In a recent interview with Vulture, award-winning actress Thandie Newton opened up about many of her worst experiences in Hollywood, including a cringe-inducing story with Tom Cruise on the set of Mission: Impossible 2.

In her story, Newton described Cruise's strangely aggressive behavior on set as well as the quick growth of one of his zits.

"Oh, I was never asked. I was so scared of Tom. He was a very dominant individual."
"He tries superhard to be a nice person. But the pressure. He takes on a lot. And I think he has this sense that only he can do everything as best as it can be done."

In an interview with The Daily Beast, Leah Remini praised Newton for her bravery, saying:

"That takes huge balls to do what she did, and if more people speak out in that way, and be brave enough to do so, I think we might get somewhere."
"Tom has gotten away with being this 'nice guy,' because that's what Scientology policy says—to create good PR in the world and make those 'good actions' known. But if you actually look at his actions, they're not consistent."

Remini, who very publicly left Scientology after 30 years, went on to say:

"He can't keep a f–kin' marriage together, he's jumping on couches, he's acting like he knows anything about postpartum. I learned pretty quickly that that's not something you should be doing, because Tom Cruise is considered a messiah in Scientology."
"This is a man who has not even seen his own daughter in years. That this guy can be running around and having people think he's this super-nice guy, I don't get it. But that's the Hollywood-bullsh*t game people play."

Twitter users were both horrified and fascinated by Newton's story.

Many online also admired Newton's candid thoughts on the state of sexism in the movie industry.

Tom Cruise was far from the only individual Newton singled out in her accounts. In fact, he came of relatively well compared to some studio executives.

Many were unsurprised by this most recent instance of Tom Cruise acting strangely.

Remini is sure to share more thoughts about Cruise and Scientology in her new podcast "Scientology: Fair Game."
