The 'Abbott Elementary' star and creator came with the receipts after being called out by Center for Education Reform CEO Jeanne Allen.

Abbott Elementary creator and star Quinta Brunson recently had to take to social media to defend herself after she was wrongfully called out for only attending charter schools.

Center for Education Reform CEO Jeanne Allen decided to attack Brunson via Twitter, saying Brunson only attended charter schools growing up.

"Quinta Brunson is from West Philly and attended charter schools her entire education."

Brunson commented on Allen's post by correcting her and letting her know she needs to get better at doing research.

"You're wrong and bad at research. I only attended a charter in high school. "

The comments on the tweet didn't disappoint.

Many people jumped to Brunson's defense.

Abbott Elementary is about a group of teachers who are thrown together in a Philadelphia public school where they are determined to help the students succeed in life.

As a general rule, it's probably a good idea to make sure you are completely aware of the facts before you decide to call someone out publicly. This seems to be a dying practice.
