Peoplee are eyeing a prediction a group of Peruvian shamans made about President Donald Trump after a prediction that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro would fall already came true.
Shamans gathered for an annual New Year’s ritual, brandishing large posters of world leaders that they crossed with swords, burned with incense, and in some cases stomped on. Among those depicted were Trump and Maduro, as well as Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
One shaman, identified by Reuters as Juan de Dios Garcia, said:
"We see Nicolás Maduro defeated. Nicolás Maduro will flee Venezuela. He will not be captured."
This prediction has garnered significant attention after U.S. forces invaded Venezuela and ousted Maduro. Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, entered not guilty pleas in their first court appearance in New York after being abducted.
But a second prediction Garcia made—this one about Trump's health—sparked even more interest:
"The United States should prepare itself because Donald Trump will fall seriously ill."
You can see footage of the ritual below.
Indeed, Trump's declining health has garnered significant attention these last few months.
Last month, The New York Times published an article that argued that despite Trump's projection of “round-the-clock energy, virility and physical stamina" and the fact that he "and the people around him still talk about him as if he is the Energizer Bunny of presidential politics," that image is getting harder to pull off because Trump is showing signs of aging.
The article goes on to mention that "nearly a year into his second term, Americans see Mr. Trump less than they used to, according to a New York Times analysis of his schedule," adding:
"Mr. Trump has fewer public events on his schedule and is traveling domestically much less than he did by this point during his first year in office, in 2017, although he is taking more foreign trips. He also keeps a shorter public schedule than he used to. Most of his public appearances fall between noon and 5 p.m., on average."
When you consider the fact that Trump and the White House have largely dodged questions about a "perfect" MRI he had at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in October, the picture Trump presents is quite fragile.
Naturally, people are wondering if these shamans are onto something—and if this prediction might become the biggest news story of 2026.
Trump has gone so far as to accuse anyone who questions his health of sedition and treason.
In a recent Truth Social post, he said "it’s seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean 'THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.'"
He went on to say that these news sources "are true Enemies of the People, and we should do something about it."
Sounds pretty much like what we can expect from a "stable genius."
