Nicki Minaj Has Homophobic Meltdown After Trevor Noah Bashes Her Relationship With Trump At Grammys

The MAGA rapper didn't take kindly to being joked about by Trevor Noah at the Grammys on Sunday night—so she fired off a tweet about Noah's sexuality to retaliate.

During Sunday night's Grammy Awards telecast, host Trevor Noah listed off some of the night's attendees and nominees.

But when Noah said:

"Nicki Minaj is not here."

...the declaration was met with cheers and applause from the Grammys audience.

Noah continued:

"She is still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues."

Impersonating MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's voice, Noah added:

"Actually, Nicki, I have the biggest a**. I have it, everybody's saying it, Nicki. I know they say it's you, but it's me—WAP, WAP, WAP. Look at it, baby."

Fox News talking head and Trump sycophant Laura Ingraham infamously spoke about Minaj's MAGA conversion and the fact some conservatives had taken issue with lyrics in her songs, like "WAP." But Minaj rivals Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are the creative minds behind "WAP," not Minaj.

You can see Noah's Grammys monologue here:

People found the bit hilarious, but Minaj was not amused, lashing out at Noah and Jay Z (‽‽) in response.

Minaj's belief that "He's gay!" was an insult is what made her post homophobic. The newly minted MAGA minion included a meme of herself in a pink ballcap that read "Nicki was right about everything" and photos of Jay Z with the late singer Aaliyah and another with his wife Beyoncé in her post.

Minutes before her post attacking Noah, Minaj had posted an unhinged rant targeting Jay Z and Democrats. It parroted long debunked conspiracy theories about devil worship and child sacrifices.

Her first post had the photos she later reused in her attack on Noah, with the caption:

"Are y’all understanding that these ppl have been sacrificing children as a way of gaining & maintaining power? If you ever vote DemonCrat again, you’re just as soulless as they are & will perish. Maybe it’s time for me to do some story times — since I was trying to not say what I know — yet they continue to attempt bullying."
"Also, I won’t be releasing an album until my contract is renegotiated & until I tell you about all the sabotage this RICO is finding out about Billboard."

Minaj then wrote in a separate post:

"Your favorite artist has been practicing rituals in a satanic cult where they take babies from other countries & mutilate & kill them as a form of a blood sacrifice to their God. You see, when your master is satan, you must constantly shed blood. However, the JIG IS UP."

On the Black LGBT subReddit (r/BlackLGBT), one Redditor suggested a discussion about Minaj was needed.

But others felt Minaj had done enough and the matter didn't require any further discussion.

Across social media, support for Minaj's homophobia was in short supply, with many calling out her own skeletons.

In 2018, Minaj revealed in a since deleted Facebook post:

"I came to this country as an illegal immigrant @ 5 years old"

At the time, she was critical of the Trump administration's immigration policies.

Minaj was born in Trinidad, part of the two-island nation Trinidad and Tobago, located in the Caribbean. As of 2024, she didn't hold U.S. citizenship.

Many have speculated this fact is behind her declaring herself Trump's "#1 fan" after criticizing him in the past.

After a recent White House visit, Minaj shared her new Trump "gold card" visa on X, fueling further speculation that her MAGA conversion is performative and she's only seeking a fast-track for citizenship to avoid deportation.

Minaj married U.S. citizen Kenneth Petty in 2019, but that fact may not help her citizenship case.

People have speculated that pardons for her husband and brother are behind Minaj going MAGA, but their convictions were all on state—not federal—charges, meaning Trump cannot give them pardons.

Petty is a level two registered sex offender in New York and California. He was convicted in 1995 for a 1994 attempted rape in the first degree, leading to him serving four years in a New York state prison.

In 2006 he pleaded guilty as part of a deal that reduced his charges from second-degree murder to first-degree manslaughter after he shot and killed a man in 2002. His second conviction led to a 10 year sentence, of which Petty served seven years.

In 2020, Minaj gave birth in California to what Trump and MAGA would call an "anchor baby" with husband Petty.

Minaj's brother, Jelani Maraj, is currently serving a sentence of 25 years to life in a New York state prison for the 2015 sexual assault of an 11-year-old child.

The only federal conviction either men has is Petty's 2022 conviction for failing to register as a sex offender after moving from New York to California. His year of home confinement has ended, so a pardon is of little benefit now.

Woman In Pink Jacket Who Filmed Alex Pretti's Murder Speaks Out In Emotional Interview

Stella Carlson, better known online as the "woman in the pink jacket" who recorded the murder of ICU nurse Alex Pretti by ICE agents in Minneapolis, is urging Americans not to let ICE "intimidate" them.

Calls for an investigation have intensified from across the political spectrum after analysis of multiple videos showed ICE officers removing a handgun from Pretti—a weapon that authorities said Pretti was permitted to carry but was not handling at the time—before fatally shooting him.

Elon Musk Shares Bizarre AI Video Of Sydney Sweeney Weeks After Making Gross Comment About Her Body

Just weeks after 54-year-old Elon Musk was called out for making a creepy, juvenile AI video about actor Sydney Sweeney's breasts, he decided to promote the use of her likeness and voice to tout how great his X AI Grok Imagine—a text-to-video feature—is at making deep fakes.

The video, originally posted by another user, featured an AI created Sweeney on a spaceship speaking about Grok videos. The original prompt didn't specify Sweeney by name, leading many to wonder if Musk had altered Grok's responses again.
