Mila Kunis Donates to Planned Parenthood for Mike Pence

While appearing on Conan to promote her new movie A Bad Moms Christmas, actress Mila Kunis shared that she's been making monthly donations to Planned Parenthood, but not in her name. Following the 2016 election, thousands of individuals have donated to the non-profit organization on behalf of Vice President Mike Pence, as part of a peaceful protest.

Mila Kunis is one of those protesters.

Even before Pence became Vice President, he worked hard to defund Planned Parenthood — which provides preventive sexual health care for women and men, birth control, pregnancy tests, and other health services — as part of his religious, anti-women's rights agenda. He once said, “condoms are a very, very poor protection against sexually transmitted diseases," and has demonstrated other outrageous beliefs about women's reproductive rights.

During the interview with Conan O'Brien, Kunis admitted she's been trolling Pence and the entire Trump administration with a monthly donation, knowing that Pence receives a letter every month.

“I disagreed with some of the stuff that Pence was doing and was trying to do,” she said to Conan, “and so as a reminder that there are women out there in the world that may or may not agree with his platform, I put him on a list of reoccurring donations that are made in his name to Planned Parenthood. Every month to his office he gets a little letter that says like, ‘An anonymous donation has been made in your name.'”

Kunis continued, “I don’t look at it as a prank. This is just like, I strongly disagree and this is my little way of showing it. It’s a peaceful protest.”

The revelation stirred both praise and controversy on social media.

Many praised her protest, showing love and appreciation for the actress.

Phyllis Wilder: "I love Mika Kunis! She makes us all proud. My hat is off to the parents who raised this young lady!"

But others were less enthusiastic about her support of Planned Parenthood. One person commented: "So Mila Kunis financially backs human extermination and fetal genocide. Has nothing to do with women's health! Horrible."

Some were even inspired to donate to a cause they believe in as well — namely, the NRA.
